The “online Book Store” has been developed to override the problems prevailing in the
practicing manual system. The software is supported to eliminate and in some cases
reduces the hardship faced by this existing system. Moreover this system is designed for
the particular need of the company to carry out operations in a smooth and effective manner
PURPOSE
The main purpose of this application is to create an online book store which allows the user
to purchase a book based on the author, title and subject. All the books were displayed in
a tabular format and the user can be able to buy the books via credit or debit card .It
manages all the information about Books , bill , payment ,books . the application is totally
built at administrative end this only the administrator is guaranteed the access

SCOPE
It may help collecting perfect management in details in a very short time, the collection
will be obvious, simple and sensible. It will help a person to know the management of
passed year perfectly and vividly. It also helps in current all works relative to online book
store. It will be also reduced the cost of collecting the management and collection
procedure will go on smoothly

Product Perspective
The main aim is to provide the service to the users for buying the books which was written by
particular author or publisher which they like online. So by they save their time by not going to
shops and filter out the books which they like from the whole store

Product Functions
Online book sales with mobile sms will help the users to know automatically when certain
book requested by them has arrived once they have registered with the website. it will also
help the users to know the latest books of their interests being introduced into the market
like fiction , science technology etc. . Some of the features of the product are as follow:

2. It mainly emphasized creation and implementation of book sales management
information system
3.It authorized the system with the help of SMS that informs the user about the

 Registered Members (customers): register members can access all the
functionalities provide on website . registered Members have their own profiles.

well as view profiles
Constraints
 The information of all the users must be stored in a database that is accessible by the
administrator
 Online book sales with mobile SMS system is connected to the computer and is
running all 24 hours a day
 The users can access Online Book Sales with mobile SMS system from any computer
that has internet Browsing capabilities and an internet connections

 The users have sufficient knowledge of computers

 The user know the English language , as the user interface will be provided in English

o Users must have valid User ID and password to login thus creating
their individual profiles.
o Administration can register new teachers.
o Students can choose courses.\
o Attend lectures either at the scheduled time or view lecture later.
o Video lectures facility can also be available for the students.
o Students can check attendance, result and assignments,.
o Faculties can take lectures, upload assignments, announcements,
compile results and also can upload lectures and other discussions in
various formats as in videos, power point presentation etc.
o Notice board facility can also be available for the students from
administration and teachers.

o Forms and guidance can also be available for the students regarding any
query.
o There can be platform to discuss various queries and to put up
suggestions posted both by students and teachers.

Functions
The administrator is the super user and has the complete control over all the
activities that can be performed. The application notifies the administrator of all shop creation
requests and the administrator can then approve or reject them. The administrator also manages the
list of available book categories. The administrator can also view and delete entries in the guestbook

The system shall be built using a standard web page development tool that conforms to
Microsoft’s GUI standards like HTML,XML etc.
