Lift Cylinders
SMCS - 5102-11; 5102-12

Remove Lift Cylinders

1. Remove the support from its storage position on the loader frame.

2. Raise the bucket to maximum height. Put the bucket in dump position.

3. Install the support (2) on the cylinder not being removed.

4. Release the lift pressure by moving lever from the RAISE to LOWER position. Put the lever in
FLOAT position when lift pressure is released.

5. Disconnect the hydraulic lines (3) from bottom of cylinder.

6. Attach a hoist to the cylinder for a support. Remove the pin (1) from the rod end of cylinder.

7. Remove the bolt (4) that holds pin to frame. Remove the pin (5) from the head end of cylinder.

8. Remove the lift cylinder from the machine. Weight is 160 lb. (73 kg).

Install Lift Cylinders

1. Attach a hoist to the lift cylinder.

2. Put the cylinder into position on machine with a hoist.

3. Install the pin (1) for the head end of cylinder.

4. Raise the cylinder enough to install pin in the rod end of cylinder.

5. Remove the hoist. Connect the oil lines (2) to the lift cylinder.

6. Remove the support from the cylinder.

7. Lower the bucket and install the support (3) in its storage position on the loader frame.
