All models may replace slip from bottom without removing the valve from the line,
1. Place the valve in open position. Check that there zero pressure in line . Remove drain plug so
that all fluid would drain out of valve.
2. Remove Nuts from Lower cap.
3. Remove lower cap slowly as slips rest on lower cap it may fall out. This may damage slip,
Lower cap, or injury to operator.
4. Slips can be pulled off dovetails on plug and inspect for elastomer and metal damage or
replaced if damage. Once lower cap is removed it recommended to change " o"rings, & gasket.
5. Install lower cap to valve , tighten nuts & drain plug.
6. Operate valve to ensure proper function.
7. Pressure test valve assembly for leakage.

SOP FOR INSTALLATION OF DBB VALVE
ACTUATOR
2. Please ensure that all the protective covers are in place until the valve is
transferred to the actual location of use.
3. Use equipments with proper capacity, such as Forklifts, Cranes etc. for
handling of the valves.
4. Do not drag the valve on the floor which may damage the surfaces.
7. Ensure that sealing surfaces are clean of dirt/dust (Both body as well as
slips).
8. Mount the valve in such a way that the Needle valve (near flange) is
towards upstream side as shown in the above drawing.
§ Differential Thermal Relief (DTR) system: DTR has two needle valves
i.e. one near the flange & one at the centre of the valve body.
§ Keep the Needle valve (near flange) always in OPEN condition.
§ Keep the Needle valve (at centre of valve body) always in CLOSED
condition.
Ensure that valve operator housing is always full of lubricant. This will prevent
moisture from accumulating and freezing. Use grease fitting for lubricating
injection. Under Normal conditions, a few pumps of the grease gun once in
six months are sufficient.
Remove Drain plug present in the lower cap and drain the residue from the
lower cap. Before Cold weather sets in, ensure that there is no water below
valve plug.
• This valve has a unique feature to replace the slips without removing
the valve from Line.
