CONSTITUTION AND
BY-LAWS OF THE
AYEMT
PREAMBLE
ARTICLE I
NAME, NATURE AND DOMICILE
Section 1. The Organization shall be known as an Adventist youth emergency medical team
(AYEMT).
Section 2. This is a sectarian or religious youth organization, voluntarism, development, not-
stock and non-profit.
Section 3. The office or base of the AYEMT shall be at Forest Hills Academy Bayugan City,
Agusan del Sur.
ARTICLE II
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Section 1. PRINCIPLES
This Organization shall be representative in form and in principles. It shall adhere
strictly to the ideals, teaching, protocols of emergency medical response and standards of
Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the conduct of all its undertakings.
Section 2. GOALS
The goal of this Organization is to uphold and to spread the gospel through saving lives
with harmonious development of physical, social, spiritual and mental field among Seventh-
Day Adventist youth and to the society.
ARTICLE III
Section 1. Qualification
a) Must be Seventh-Day Adventist baptized who are loyal church members, active and
in good standing students, committed and dedicated to serve God and to save lives;
b) Must be initially trained with Standard First-aid and Basic Life Support training with
certificate of completion and a duly completed the registration form of AYEMT.
c) Must not be a member of any Organization that is not in harmony with the standards
and principle of SDA church and AYEMT. However, those who had been members
of fraternities or sororities prior to their application to the AYEMT can still aspire for
AYEMT membership, provided they will show their desire to be inactive in the
fraternities or sororities the belong;
d) Must not have any administrative case pending in the court;
e) Must have no vices such as; drinking alcoholic drinks, smoking, bullying, gambling,
using profane languages, troublemakers and conflict starters;
f) Must have full knowledge of the goals, objectives, protocols of emergency medical
response and its corresponding skills.
Section 2. A weekly due of Php 5.00 shall be collected from the members.
ARTICLE V
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MEMBERS
Section 1. Every member of the AYEMT organization shall have the following duties and
responsibilities:
a) To uphold and obey the AYEMT constitution and by-laws;
b) To abide by the policies, decisions and regulations which may from time to time be
promulgated;
c) To participate in all programs / training / deployments, projects and actions adopted
by the AYEMT; and
d) To pay the weekly dues faithfully.
ARTICLE VI
OFFICERS, MEMBERS
Section 1. The actual management of the organization shall be vested in both regular officers
and low rank officers, who shall execute policies in relation to planning, organizing,
staffing, directing, evaluating and controlling the general operations of the
organization as approved by simple majority vote of the member of the organization.
Section 2. The regular officers of the organization shall be composed and namely: Head
Chief, Vice-Chief (staff sergeant), (at least 4) Sergeants, (at least 2) Documentary
officer, (at least 2) Treasurer, (at least 2) Public Information Officers.
Section 3. The officers shall serve the AYEMT organization until the student / youth will
graduate or will not be physically present with no prohibition or re-election or until
such time when their successors shall have been elected and oath.
Section 4. In case of vacancy in any position, the remaining present officers shall elect a
Section 5. An officer shall be removed from the office by simple majority vote of the regular
officer’s present in the meeting. The grounds for such actions are:
a) Violation of the AYEMT organization constitution and by-laws;
b) Dishonesty;
c) Neglect of duties and responsibilities;
d) Serious misconduct in the performance of official duties; and
e) Commission of destructive act(s).
However, an Officer will only be removed from his position after substantial procedure, due
processes have been done.
ARTICLE VII
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICERS

ADVISER
Section 1. The organization shall choose an adviser at least (2). Must be a Seventh-day
Adventist member.
Section 2. The adviser shall primarily assist the officers of the organization in planning,
programming and foreshadowing of policies. He/she have also the right to
participate in the deliberating but no voting power.
Section 3. The adviser shall see to it that the activity of the officers and members of the
AYEMT organization do not violate the Constitution and By-laws.
ARTICLE X
MEETINGS
Section 1. The regular meeting of the AYEMT shall be every second Saturday of the month.
Section 2. Special and Emergency meetings may also be held upon call by the Head chief or
Vice-chief.
Section 3. Notice should be made at least 2 days before the meeting.
ARTICLE XII

AMENDMENTS
Section 1. Any amendment or revision of this Constitution and By-laws shall be proposed by
any member and discussed in the general meeting.
Section 2. Two-third votes of the general member shall be necessary to approve and certify
the proposed amendment and revision.
Section 1. This Constitution and By-laws shall take effect upon its approval and ratification.
