Introduction
The main purpose of this document is to give overview of installation and using a Biometric
device. The biometric device captures user’s finger print, photos and personal details, in this
generation it is powered to access control of Time & Attendance. The software works with
Biometric device which captures fingerprint information to monitor the users clock on and off
throughout the day.
It can also be used for various authentications depending on our need.

Installation & Configuration


Step1 Download Driver
When you plug in your fingerprint device to your PC for the first time, System should
automatically install the drivers on the PC (It has to be connected to the Internet) It may take up to
few minutes to identity the device and to install software.
If any case, if this is not happened, we can install the software manually from the link
provided below:

• Select the file which is highlighted in the rectangle box.


• Once the selection is done the file will be downloaded on the system
(File Explorer -> Downloads Folder)
NOTE: Before installing the software, we need to uninstall any previous versions of biometric
software’s

Step 2: How to uninstall previous versions


Step 1: Goto-> Control Panel
Step 2: Click on the Uninstall a Program

Step3: List of all installed software’s will be displayed on the screen.

Step4: Select the file to uninstall

Step5: Select Uninstall

Select “Yes”

Step 3: Install Driver
Now select the downloaded file on the system (File Name: Morpho_RD_2.0.1.13_beta.zip)

• To open the file, system should support viewing .rar files


• Locate the downloaded file on the system

Right click on the selected file

• Now select “Extract here”

• Extracted files can be viewed. Now select “MSI” folder to install the software.

• We can also directly view the files, if the system already has the winrar software on it. There is
also another procedure to view the rar files which is ‘online’.

• Now Select MSI folder to view the set-up file

• Double click on the selected file to instal the software

Accessing Device
Once the software is installed on the system. We need to connect biometric device externally to
USB port.
As “Marpho” Biometric device has the standard USB port it can support all the hardware machines
which runs any operating system.

• Optical technology offers superior image quality, finger should be placed properly on the device
to read the complete picture.

Above image describes the quality of your fingerprints scanned with the USB fingerprint reader,
which will affect the accuracy of matching them. We need to follow the steps to capture the finger
print image.

Browser Settings
To run the device we also need to allow invalid certificates for resources loaded from localhost. To
allow the process please follow below instructions
Step1: Open the browser
Step2: Type: chrome://flags/

Step3: Find Allow invalid certificates for resources loaded from localhost.
