The main purpose of this study is to help the school by giving them the perceptions of the
grade 7 students about the management of school facilities here at Porais High School.
Statement of the Problem
The purpose of this research is to know “The Perception of Students about the Management
of School Facilities”.
2. How aware are the Grade 7 Students about the Management of School Facilities?
This study will describe the Perceptions of Students about Management of School Facilities
2. Describe the extent of awareness of Grade 7 Students about the Management of School
Facilities.
Hypothesis
The School. This study would help them to know what the grade 7 students thinks of about
the management of school facilities, and therefore they will have to improve on what they
want to improve.
The Teachers. This study would encourage every teachers of the school to make a move
to assist the management in the necessary actions to be taken to maximize the school
facilities.
The Parents. This study would encourage the parents of the students to help the school in
The Students. This study would enlighten other students about the importance of knowing
The Future Researchers. This study would serve as basis of future studies and additional
This chapter presents the examination made on related literature of earlier studies with
similar variables. These are the socio-demographic characteristics, perception on the management
of the school facilities and the relation between demographic profile and their perceptions on
Socio-demographic Characteristics
Sex
According to Gregory L. Jantz Ph.D. (2014) Scientists generally study four primary areas of
difference in male and female brains: processing, chemistry, structure, and activity. The
differences between male and female brains in these areas show up all over the world, but scientists
also have discovered exceptions to every so-called gender rule. You may know some boys who
are very sensitive, immensely talkative about feelings, and just generally don’t seem to fit the
“boy” way of doing things. As with all gender differences, no one way of doing things is better or
worse. The differences listed below are simply generalized differences in typical brain functioning,
and it is important to remember that all differences have advantages and disadvantages. Women
are more prone to talk about what they are thinking and feeling, and to demonstrate how they are
feeling with their tears, facial expressions, hand gestures, and body language. Many women seem
to be more comfortable figuring out how they feel by talking through it.
Men, generally speaking, tend to process their emotions inwardly. Many times, they don’t know
exactly how they feel, so they try to figure it out on their own…inside their head. Some men are
afraid of their emotions and keep them buried inside in order to protect themselves from looking
weak. Little do they know, that most women would accept and understand (and even appreciate!)
an expression of their emotion. There are differences between the genders. Each side needs to do
the best they can to understand and deal with the opposite sex, rather than get frustrated about the

This study will use a survey-questionnaire method. This instrument is divided in two parts.
Part I will solicit information about the students socio-demographic characteristics such
as sex.
The researcher will secure permission to administer the survey questionnaire through a
letter address to the principal. The questionnaire will be personally administered by the researcher
seeking assistants from the class advisers or subject teachers’. The respondents will be guided
accordingly, in answering. The researchers will make sure that the respondents will be briefed
