Introduction
The mining life cycle begins with exploration continues with production and ends with post-
mining and closure use. Technologies help to customers and mining industries in each stage of
the life cycle. The important component of mini g is exploration, mining, and processing.
Mining industries make a considerable investment to mine development before the product
starts. For the report, mining is considered as an activity, procedure or industry of extracting
ores, and other materials from mines. The primary stage of processing consists transformation
and refining of ores to basic forms like metals1. The mining industry sustainability is not a
ordinary concept. The Australian mining industry has moved to develop environmental
management. The following report will evaluate the production trends and sustainability of the
Australian mining industry.

Objective of research
Aim
The industry of mining in Australia is big and critically significant for the economy of
Australia. It also added values in an industry that consists of associated services and processing.
Revenue of mining extraction of Australian organization has increased from 2012 to 2017 by
4.3 percent and revenue was 90.32 billion dollars. Mining extraction and metals product have
increased from 2011 to 2016 by 11 percent and revenue was 121.94. This highlights that the
mining industry of Australia mainly explores to produce metals with an important supporting
service sector. There are many global organizations in Australia that operated in mining and
have position in the Forbes Global 2000 list with the sales of 82 $ billion per annum and
organizations are (1) BHP Billiton, (2) Woodside Petroleum, (3) Santos, (4) Fortes cue Metals,
(5) Newcrest Mining 2. The objective of the report is to enable the approach that identifies the
sustainability of the mining industry with production trends.

General objective
The objective of the report is to evaluate the production trends and sustainability of the
Australian Mining Industry towards the economy. This report covers all aspects of the mining
industry by focusing on the contribution to sustainability activities to increase economic
variability.

Specific objective
There are many research, reports, studies, and papers have been studies to understand the
product trends and sustainability of the mining industry. Accessible resources of mining in the
ground are known as an Economic Demonstrated Resources (EDR). In December 2011
Australia EDR of minerals like iron was the world largest. The industry of mineral in Australia
is earner of the largest mineral exports with 50 to 60 percent of the annual value of services
and goods exports. The industry mineral of Australia is dominated by ore, coal, iron, copper,
gold, and nickel, aluminum with principle market in India, South Korea, Japan, and China3.

Scope of research
To a detailed analysis of the production trend of the Australian mining industry analysis has
been done that reflect the production trend more effectively. The end result of the report
highlights the effect of sustainability of the mining industry with changes in the production
trends, revenues, regional development. This report will highlight the growth with the abilities
of significant variables to perform effectively.

Research statement
This research statement of the mining industry in Australia contain industry segments that
defined many industry segment and activities. Analysis has been structured to a mineralized
package of economic interest to the mining industry.

Research question
Primary question
The primary question is to analyze the trends of production and mining industry sustainability
of Australia. This report presents a continuous and significant contribution to the Australian
economy. It develops a regional approach to stimulate sustainable economic growth.

Production of mining in Australia

The expression mining boom is generally used to present the rapid growth in exports. The
growing impact of the mining segment presents positive growth of Australian economy.
Mining organizations in Australia has made beneficial impact to industry over the previous
years. This reflects in sustained high production and continue develop sustainable economic
growth to the nations in form of royalties, employment, revenues, and local development.

Bauxite
This is a raw substantial used in the manufacture of aluminum. Production of Australian bauxite
has full-grown with an average of 3.6 percent from 55.6 Mt in 2003 to 55.6 Mt in 2003 to 76.3
Mt in 2012. This is supported by higher output. This is expected to increase by 43 percent from
2003 to 2012.

Black coal
This is the most valuable mineral. The strong growth of the product can be identified by the
growth in production. This growth is supported by the substantial investment in the past years.
This has been increased with the average yearly rate of 4 percent from 2003 to 2012 at 501 Mt
in 2012.

Nickel
Nickel mine production has increased by 27 percent in 2012. Growth in output presents
sustainability over the period that is characterized in phases. Higher production trends help to
identify exports by 19.7 percent.

Research and development

This is an ongoing procedure that added values to sustainability with the new ways to make
sure that industry is good enough to provide sustainability in the mining industry of Australia.
This encourages more and effective environment with effective component and skilled workers
to increase productivity with developing ways to preserve and mining in a better way. This is
a valuable addition to the industry of mining.

Challenges and overcoming from the barriers to innovation

The challenges include overcoming from the management of and reduce emissions intensity,
improvement and development of a high margin market with the reduction of waste. The
additional global demand is beneficial according to the utilization of available resources. This
sector has many important benefits with the latest technology to overcome the challenges.
Sustainable production trends are beneficial for the advantage of people and the planet.

Conclusion
This paper highlight the production trends with the size and growth of the Australian mining
industry. Production of mining in the Australian industry has continued growth. Sustainability
of mining is a concept and appear according to Oxymoron and paradox. There are many aspects
and issues involves to assess the sustainability of mining and vary according to independent
civic perspective. It has improved its environmental management and involved in a global
decade. This study demonstrates that mines industry is associated with minerals resources and
production has increased over time.
