GRADE 12 CLASS PROPHECY 2019

To our managing directress, Mrs. Edna Cambe Monreal, our dearest teachers and staff members, and
beloved parents and to the completers and my fellow graduates, a pleasant evening to all of you.
Writing our class prophecy is my pride and pleasure. Also, it is an honor to share to you a glimpse of
my fellow graduates’ future. I was awaked by the ring of the alarm at 5’ o clock in the morning. I set the time
one hour earlier than usual, because it was our field trip. I took a bath, then ate my breakfast after. While I
was eating, the daily ration of newspaper that had arrived was on top of the table. My eyes were caught by
newspaper’s headline about the youngest lawyer who have successfully won another massive case. He was
Atty. Aljon C. Divinagracia. This time, he stood for the farmers who were pursuing genuine land reform. At
the back of my mind, I could remember that Atty. Divinagracia also took case which also won for the women
of Manila for them to have an equal salary as what men receive. As I scanned the pages, I was impressed by
the heroic act of the policeman who courageously took the bullet to shield a little girl. By saving her life, he
was recognized and promoted from SPO II, he will now be known as Senior Police Officer III Sander P. Fortes.
He was awarded by Director General August Paul R. Casa, the youngest police officer to achieve this rank.
Through his visionary leadership, he was able to steer the police force to great heights in the past 24 months.
I finished reading and continue with my morning routine. I grabbed the bag prepared by my dearest mother
and went to school. Our bus started rolling at exactly 6 o’clock in the morning.

Inside the bus, Mrs. Karina, our homeroom adviser stood in front. “Class, today, our itinerary includes
four destinations. One of these will help you explore and decide on what career you would want to pursue
in the future. Now, sit back, relax and have fun!” she said.

We arrived at the first itinerary which was The Museum of Flight, we were greeted by a friendly tour
guide named Ms. Layla, she toured us around, and an exhibited photo of someone caught my attention, she
was Lieutenant Danielle Aubrey B. Masongsong, the first Asian Woman to take home Air Medal by the Coast
Guard because of meritorious achievement in flight. Beside her was the photo of Captain Kahlel Joshua D.
Ramirez, the youngest pilot of Emirates Airlines. I roamed around and I saw 3 great flight attendants. The
first one was Ms. Kate Angel S. Amigable, she has been to 20 countries after working at Singapore Airlines
in just 3 years. Alongside her was Ms. Ann Krizzel F. Sisante, who was training a newly hired cabin crew
members for Philippine Airlines. And finally, I saw Ms. Joharra Allinae V. Grindulo, an international flight
attendant of Emirates Airlines. A few step forward led me to an aisle where I saw many plaque displayed on
shelf named after Major Isaiah Miguel M. Flandez. He have served many airlines including Qatar Airways,
Jet Blue Airlines, Vietnam Airlines and Philippine Airlines. I couldn’t imagine the fun and thrill that these
people feel whenever they fly and I hope someday I can meet them personally. We visited 2 more floors of
the museum and I saw a lot of old models of airplane. After few minutes, Ms. Lopez told us that we will be
leaving.
On our way out, our tour guide handed us a copy of Lifestyle Asia Magazine, on the cover was a man
named Chef Ammon Renfroe B. Tamonte, a famous chef at Manila Hotel and have won many awards and
recognition from worldwide competitions. After grabbing our snacks, we made it to our second destination
which is the National Museum of Business and Arts. My friends certainly loved this because most of them
are business-minded. While waiting for our ticket, I saw an interview was being flashed in the LED Screen at
the right corner. The show was Lovely Day and that day’s segment was about Philippines’ billionaire. The
host Ms. Lovely Mei A. Cabana, a famous broadcaster, was interviewing Mr. Keans Erol T. Austria, the
former president of Tsikot Pilipinas. The talk was about the launching of Mr. Austria’s brand new car named
Austerrani (Osterani). After claiming our ticket, we went inside and I saw a picture of Mr. Johnver
Evangelista, one of the contributing founder of this museum. Aside from that, he was also a stockholder of
SM Prime Holdings. As I walked through, I saw group of people taking photo of a woman wearing a medal
and holding her plaque. With curiosity I came closer and I saw Ms. Cristina Cassandra V. Sison, and I learned
that the medal she was wearing was a Ramon Magsaysay Award for her integrity in service to the people. A
broad glass box captured my interest, inside it was a miniature city located in Bicol called “Bicolandia Land
Premier” that is spearheaded by the CEO of Ayala Land Real Estate Company, Ms. Chinessa L. Ortiz. My
friend Odette pulled me to come with her in the currency section to see the recently released New
Generation Currency. The notes and coins are displayed inside a glass box, we were amazed to see the new
designs of money. This project was led by Banko Central ng Pilipinas and I saw a picture of a long haired
woman named Ms. Stefannie N. Capilit, a certified public accountant and the head of this project. After that,
our teacher called us to assemble. We had to leave the museum. On our way out, we saw a documentary
film entitled The Unconscious Mind: A Documentary about Dreams. It was hosted by one of the Philippine’s
famous documentarists named Ms. Elaine Marie S. Cagayat, she is one the journalists who has contributed
a lot in CNN Philippines. Ms. Lopez our teacher called us for it’s time to leave and we might get late to our
next destination. While on our way, I was astonished when out of the blue, my classmates screamed and
shouted at something they saw, it was a billboard of Ex Lifestyle, a fast growing clothing line owned by the
famous bachelor Mr. Jeno D. Carino. His brand is famous not only in the Philippines but also abroad. As a
matter of fact, famous artists like Justin Bieber and Khalid have worn his designs.
I fell asleep for almost 30 minutes. And I was awakened by my teacher’s voice saying we reached our
second itinerary which is Philippine Museum of Mathematics wherein the works of greatest engineers and
mathematical wizards in the Philippines can be found. This time, we were not accompanied by a tour guide.
We were allowed to roam around on our own. So that we could maximize our time inside. I decided to go
on my own and went to the left wing of the museum. I saw a rectangular table with glass at the top inside it
is the blueprint of this building. I was stunned to see the intricate (intriket) details of the plan. It was
spearheaded by someone named Engr. John Michael B. Quidayan, few steps more I learned that he is the
brain of numerous multi-million projects with Alliance Global Group Inc. and DMCI Holding Inc. He was also
recognized as one of the sought (sot) after Geodetic Engineers in the Philippines. I was bored in this section,
so I decided to transfer to the right wing of the museum where the engineering section is. A wide array (arey)
of successful engineers in the Philippines welcomed me. I saw a line-up of frames and plaque of famous civil
engineers including Engr. Jennah G. Dealagdon and Engr. Irille Ann M. Montecer, who are both members
of Engineering Corporation of the Philippines, one of the top performing engineering companies in the
Philippines. Beside them was a picture of two women shaking hands. The one on the left seems familiar
“Ohh, it is Ms. Chinessa L. Ortiz, the CEO of Ayala Land Real Estate Company as I read the caption I learned
that the woman on the right is Engr. Charmaine D. Vibora. They have collaborated for a project here in the
Metro. As I walked to the center, my peripheral vision saw a medal enclosed in a glass box, I moved forward
to see to whom it belongs. Engr. Joy Valerie D. Herradura is the owner and the recipient (resipyent) of this
PICE or Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Inc. National Award. I also learned that she managed a team of
3 engineers and 3 draftsmen in structural design of heavy civil industrial projects. Behind the glass box is a
picture of a woman named Engr. Donnalene G. Manalang, she is a Mechanical engineer who handled record
breaking projects of up to 11 million and totalled about 45 million of gross income during tenure (tenyur). I
decided to look for my friends and as I walk to their direction, we entered a room filled with electronic
gadget. Inside there was a tall, dark and handsome man lecturing about computers. I asked my classmates
about him, he is Engr. John Lord M. Natoza, an expert Computer engineer who have worked for Dell
Computer Company. He was invited today to share his insights to aspiring engineers. I sat down to listen to
his talk. Included in his lecture was the list of successful Computer Engineers in the country. Engr. Mariedel
G. Katipunan is one of them. She has designed an educational software that is very helpful to the students.
It is called “AutoTranslate”. Engr. Phoebe Ruth B. Nido is also included in the list. She owns a computer
company called Computer Professionals Incorporated, the same company which sponsors an annual
seminars on schools at Laguna area. I enjoyed the lecture of Engr. John Lord M. Natoza. It is very informative.
Listening to his talk was our last activity for this itinerary and we went to the next one.
It only took a 5 -inute drive for us to get to our last stop which is the National Museum of Health and
Medicine. This itinerary is my most awaited one because I’m planning to conquer (kongker) the world of
Medicine specifically Dentistry. We visited first the veterinary section, my mood lighten when I saw cats and
dogs. They are such cuties. Along the right corner was the wall of gratitude. The first one I saw was Dra.
Missy B. Cervantes, a popular veterinarian who built a foundation for stray dogs. A friendly tour guide named
Ms. Irithel called us and she brought us to the nursing section. We saw there, the nurses who have served
inside and outside our country. My breath (bret) was taken to see a lot of dedicated and passionate nurses.
Some of the noteworthy nurses are Registered Nurse Frances Ellice M. Domingo. She has served our country
for 6 years and transferred to Canada to accept the offer of being the Head Nurse at one of the high quality
rating hospitals in Canada. Registered Nurse Monica Ashley DL. Rinon was also included in the list. She has
been an assistant to some of the outstanding doctors worldwide. Aside from these, she is also known as an
active volunteer in medical missions. Lastly, Registered Nurse Guila Mae G. Castaneda, she is a recipient
(resipyent) of a national award for Nursing Excellence because she has chosen to stay in our country to serve
our people for the past 16 years. Our group continued the journey and our feet brought us to the exceptional
doctors here in the Philippines. The first one I saw was a photo of 2 female doctors. The one on the left is
Dra. Nicole Therese Guevarra, a general physician who is known for her charitable works inside our country
and abroad. The one on the right is another general physician named Dra. Jellene Geviane R. De Vera, who
has awarded with Excellence in Medicine award for 3 consecutive years for her passion and dedication in
serving less fortunate people across our country. Our group encountered an entire wall full of photos of skin
diseases before and after medications. This was the work of a well-known dermatologist Dra. Maria Angela
M. Flores. She spent 5 years of her career researching about a universal ointment that can heal a number of
skin diseases. We went to the second floor of the building, the first one I saw was a plaque of recognition for
Dr. Jemilson R. Herradura. He is a Pediatrician who led numerous medical missions nationwide. He was also
an ambassador of good health and sufficient vitamins for kids. A few steps around and we saw a skeletal
model, beside it is a photo of a fresh looking man named Dr. Reignheart Kim C. Ga-an, the chairman of
Department of Orthopedics at St. Luke’s Hospital. I’ve read (red) that he has a close heart for injured athletes
because he was a badminton player back when he was in high school. At the right side of the room, I saw a
big beating heart. We just arrived at the Heart Station. I saw a book inside a glass box entitled Interventional
Cardiology written by Dr. Stephenn King W. Lavendia. Aside from being a book writer, he also serves our
country by treating senior citizens in Laguna province. Beside it is a picture of an actual open heart surgery.
Written in the caption, this surgery was led by Dra. Junaleen Escanilla known as “the mother of open heart
surgery” for she performed the first open heart surgery for the youngest patient in the country. Before we
go down to the first floor, the Brain station is our last stop. Behind the big model of a brain, I saw a portrait
of Dra. Leona Allyson R. Rivera, one of the neurologists who pushed the establishment of Neurological
Intensive Care Unit in every provincial hospital. She also spent an ample (ampol) amount of time to research
about the affordable way to treat epilepsy. On our way back to the first floor, I saw my classmates cheering
at me to look a photo of a very familiar woman. I looked at the photo and I just smiled. We gather around at
the exit of the museum to prepare for our departure. As this is our last itinerary, home is our next one.
I arrived home at 7 o’clock in the evening. I was happy to see my mom holding my bowl of my favorite
Adobo. She welcomed me with a peck on the cheeks and a hug. I hugged her back. “How was your day anak?”
we sat down for dinner and I answered her, “It was good ma, we visited four museums and I finally realized
what I want to be. I want to be like you ma. And you know what, I saw you at one of the museums together
with your accomplishments. The current president of the Philippine Dental Association, A dentist who holds
a series of seminar of the importance of Dental health across the country and a trainer of new dentists for
deployment in different dental clinics, Dra. Julles Allen D. Castro. But they forgot your greatest
accomplishment of all, the best mom award.” “How sweet anak, just remember I will always be by your side
until you reach your dreams. Go eat your dinner and put on your best clothes. We will attend a special
event.”
We arrived at my school, Colegio Monterei de Pila Child Development Incorporated, and I
immediately ask my mom why are we here. She just smiled. As we went out of our car, I saw 2 men in
uniform, they are the same men in the newspaper this morning. As we enter, my mom hugged a group of
people, 2 females and 1 male. And they are very familiar I think I saw them somewhere ooooh the man is
the lawyer in the newspaper too, we continued walking and I saw a dashing man talking at his phone, my
mom greeted him and I noticed that he is the same man in the billboard. As we arrived at the covered court.
I saw a lot of familiar faces and I realized that I saw them all on the 4 museums I just visited and when I
looked at the stage it was the reunion of CMPCDI Senior High School Batch 2018-2019.
Yes, our lives in the future won’t definitely be the same with what I have dreamt of. Nevertheless I’m
certain that its way closer to it, a promising future awaits us. Altogether we will battle the hurdles (herdels)
of life no matter how high it is until we reached our finish line.
As your class president, I won’t say good bye rather I’ll see you soon because today is not the last
time we are going to see each other. Again, good evening and congratulations to us all.
