Rationale

The novel that I have chosen is Animal farm by George Orwell, because this story talks about

the reality of animalism system, and shows consequences in the society, for this reason I will

center my topic in the strategies used by Napoleon to persuade all animals and to get the power

in the farm. This will be represented from the perspective of Squealer, because he belongs to

the government and knows the pigs’ objectives.

After the revolution, Napoleon took the control over the animals and it is represented since

Snowball left the farm, because the dogs raised him, then Napoleon used Squealer to explain

in his speech that Snowball was Jones´s agent from the very beginning, for this reason the

animals agreed with him. From this situation, I imagined that Squealer wrote a diary entry in a

semi-formal language, moreover, this will have a sarcastic tone, because he agrees with pigs´

idea. In the other hand, the diary will explain his point of view about Napoleon´s government

and his bad actions.

Dear, diary

Today, I am concerned about what is happening because, the animals believe that I´m the main

responsible for the bad government of Napoleon for helping him, now all the animals hate me

for tricking them, but, I don’t care because they don´t know that I did to not to starve. Napoleon

was planning come to power and have all the benefits for him and the other pigs,

He threatened and frightened me, I couldn´t oppose him; because he can order the dogs get me

out of the farm.

Maybe, I could have avoided it from the beginning, if I tell Snowball that Napoleon wanted

him to go away.

When, it began I felt very fine, I received a lot apples and some milk, moreover I always

enjoyed seeing the rest of the animals worked, and if someone didn´t obey, I would tell

Napoleon that they have to receive punishment.

Day 1st

The best plan

Yesterday was the revolution, and all the animals of the farm were very happy, because they

are free.

In the morning, Napoleon gave them a lot of food, and then a few minutes later, we met again

for announcing the new harvest. There Snowball said that: “the pigs have learnt to read and

write” for this reason they obeyed us, in this moment Snowball and me wrote seven

commandments that all the animals considered laws, the pigs did it for stablishing order on the

farm. However, this afternoon I saw to Napoleon inside of Mr. Jones’ house, it was prohibited

for the animals. But, I discovered that he slept there and he had the lost milk buckets, I was
going to ask him what he was doing there, but, suddenly all the pigs arrived except Snowball,

I listened to the Pigs committee talking about Snowball’s idea for building a windmill and that

they didn´t agree with him. Probably Snowball wanted to become our leader, I was surprised

because of his intentions, and I decided to go out for helping him leave Animal Farm. Napoleon

had an idea; it was said at the Sunday meeting and was based in the chase of Snowball by the

dogs.

DAY 2sd

The expected day

Today is the expected day; I felt curios about what would happen.

When Snowball was going to show his plans about the windmill, Napoleon gave a signal to the

dogs so they began to run to Snowball, when I saw this; I started laughing, because he looked

very funny. At that moment Napoleon amounted on to the raised portion of the floor, I was

proud of him.

After I told all animals that Snowball had cheated because he was, a Jones’ agent and they were

surprised, so I said that we had to worry, because Napoleon could be our leader. I consider that

they are very submissive, because they obey all the pigs’ rules, for this reason Napoleon takes

advantage for them, and abuses his power. If they don´t realize, they may die for work a lot.
