SCOPE OF WORK:
The subject contract will be conducted over a period of 30 calendar days duration.
The construction activities include Approach Ramp Reconcreting, Construction of Oil
and Water Separator and Construction of Intercepting Canal. During this period, the
contractor ensured that all impacts/hazards of the project on land, water, air and people
will be addressed through the implementation of the following appropriate
mitigation/enhancement measures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
2. Night Work
Night work will be performed after normal working hours. A separate
crew of one (1) team will be conducting clean-up activities under our night
shift labor. This team will not be involved in any construction activity.
Portable lighting units are provided with clear lens safety glasses. Our
Safety Officer performs weekly spot checks of this activity to ensure
compliance to safety requirements. Specific night tasks include:
Site cleanup
Flash light and Barricade maintenance
Removal debris from areas
5. Traffic Safety
Unsafe driving practices are not tolerated, on or off job. Person as well as
local traffic regulations are communicated throughout the organization.
6. Safety Signs
Safety signs shall be posted at designated area of work as per schedule.
MANPOWER
1. Name of workers and their designated work are specified on the attached
document.
2. Work Attire
Our designated color is blue. Blue “class A” hard hats are provided to each
worker along with 4 pcs of green long sleeves. Clean long sleeves are
provided daily to each worker. Basic work attire includes: class A or B
safety hat, safety shoes, other protection may be necessary as required by
our internal policies client requirements or permit requirements.
3. PPE’s
Our Safety Officer selects all required safety equipment for the project.
Our purchasing system is set up whereby safety equipment requires prior
approval from our safety supervisor. Basic protective equipment includes
the following:
Safety Hats (class A or B)
Safety Vest
Safety shoes (meeting Petron requirement)
Faceshields, goggles, gloves and aprons
Other specialized equipment required by work activities or client
requirements
1 unit Jackhammer
Concrete Cutter
1 unit Mini Dump Truck
1 unit Plate Compactor
Safety Inspection is required atleast once a week as agreed with Petron Engineer
in Charge.
All employees should attend a weekly safety meeting. Meetings are conducted at
the jobsite by the assigned safety officer. Workers are gathered at the work area
where the meeting is conducted. This meeting is held at the beginning of the work
every Monday. Ten to fifteen minutes is allotted to these meetings in which safety
is the sole subject. Emergency procedures are mandatory topic for each meeting.
Feedback pertaining to safety is encouraged. Safety meeting records are
maintained at our office and available for review and inspection. Safety bulletins,
memos, etc. from Petron are used to enhance safety meetings. A review of the
previous weeks incidents are always discussed.
SAFETY MEETING (TOOL BOX)
A safety meeting is established for the project. The committee is comprises of the
following:
Safety Officer (Chairman)
Foreman (1 ea.)
Workers (4-5 ea.)
EMERGENCY PLAN
An emergency directory are posted at the site office. All personnel are properly
oriented in our emergency procedures.
Safety Officer shall conduct training and planning activities/requirements for the
prevention/protection. All employees are given proficiency training in the use of
fire protection equipment.

HANDLING OF MATERIALS
Cements, Steel Pipes and other bulky materials shall be properly stored with
barricades.
Paints, Electrical and Wiring Tools shall be placed in our stock room.
Excavated, demolished and used materials shall be disposed from the work area
immediately.
