Interview with an Entrepreneur

1. What ignited the spark in you to start a new business venture or to make significant
changes in an existing business? How did the idea for your business come about?

I would like to have something to achieve self-esteemed, to do hard efforts & gain the same, earn
more money.

I was working in labs after my graduation for 3 years, so I knew the need of these kits we supply.

2. How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization
the way you do?

Conscience & accuracy is the key

3. How important have good employees been to your success?

They are main factors in your success

4. What three pieces of advice would you give to college students who want to become
entrepreneurs?

1-Take the step to start your own business

2-Ask & calculate more & more

3-Don’t leave something done by chance, plan for everything

5. If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

I would start my own business earlier

6. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

successful entrepreneur doesn’t fear from the risk, be positive & should not give up & take care
of his business & struggle for it

7. What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?

Some problems in costing & factors were not taken into account, we have faced some loss
at the begging. I’ve learned that you should search & ask well before doing something

8. How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?

I stick if only I searched & found no better alternative, never give up unless getting
negative result

9. How many hours do you work a day on average?

12 hours
10. Describe/outline your typical day?

I’m an employee in a research centre as a scientific researcher, afternoon I start running


my own business tell the night.

11. How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

It surly affect entrepreneur’s life as you bear all responsibility to success

Earning money, social image of success, this is my own business

13. How do you generate new ideas?

Usually I use mind mapping

14. How far are you willing to go to succeed?

As I mentioned to you before. to be an entrepreneur, this will affect all your life

15. What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?

Losing personal ability, self-esteem & money. I always repeat everything will be ok, no worries

16. How do you define success?

Success is a generic term; it should include every part in your life considering priorities.

17. What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

To put your long-term plan and act accordingly

18. Is your company profitable or what is your profit for last year?

Yes, I didn’t use to tell figures

19. Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting
it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?

a loan from my father, only I have funded my firm from my father’s money & I have returned back
what I have borrowed from him

20. How do you build a successful customer base?

We have a software application installed on Pc’s contain successful customer base

21. How did you decide on the location for your business?

Location suits my start-up budget, apparent, in addition to have suitable frequency.


22. Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful
entrepreneur?

Commitment, Seriousness, Responsibility, self-motivated & hard worker

23. If you could talk to one person from history, who would it be and why?

Isaac Newton, because most of modern science derivative from his laws & theories

Steve jobs

Aspiration

27. To what do you most attribute your success? What would say are the five key elements for
starting and running a successful business?

Hard proper success in this marketplace.

1-Search for opportunity & market need

2-The more you concentrate & analyse, the more you will get true results.

3-once you targeted your business, just start & don’t think more about unexpected risks.

4-commetment with your clients is very successful factor.

5- sell with a suitable competing price

Doing successful deals

29. What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for
someone else?

Feeling Independency

30. How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form
of marketing?

Focusing on my product benefits & show its advantage. Offering ffordable price with a good
quality
31. What kind of culture exists in your organization? How did you establish this tone and why
did you institute this particular type of culture?

The Cooperation & that we are a one hand. when we do great deals we celebrate together as a
one family grant bonus. I institute this particular type of culture because sticking together in one
union is strength & no one can get you down & vice-versa

32. What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?

Mistakes in pricings at the begging

33. How can you prevent mistakes or do damage control?

The more you depend on technology & software packages you will minimize human mistakes,

But generally it cannot be prevented 100%

Reading, reading & meet friends

Expansion of my business

Spending time, money, efforts & exposure to risk are all types of sacrifices

The IT sector & social media providers became a super huge business in the last decades

38. Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?

I hope in 10 years to be one of the biggest five company in Egypt, then I would like to go for
manufacturing & have a big factory to manufacture here instead of importing from outside and
supply to all of our region after 20 years

39. If you were conducting this interview, what question would you ask?

I don’t know, you have asked nearly about everything

40. How do you see the Egyptian economy and its impact on current and future start ups.

I see it is going in the right way & this will be reflected on all of us in the next coming few years
