PROJECT DOCUMENTATION - CONTENT OF THE REPORT

ABSTRACT (1 or 2 pages)

 An abstract is an outline/brief summary of your whole project.


 It highlights major points of the content and answers why this work is important, what
was your purpose, how you went about your project, what you learned, and what you
concluded.
 It is a well-developed paragraph and should be exact in wording.
 It must be understandable to a wide audience.
 Do not include any charts, tables, figures, or spreadsheets in the abstract.

INTRODUCTION (Min. 3 pages, 1 para for each point – totally 6 paragraphs, 2 paras/page)

 State the general topic and give its background


 Define the scope of the project
 Outline the existing system and its disadvantages
 Importance of proposed system and its advantages
 Specify the problem statement
 Outline the order of chapters in the project

FEASIBILITY STUDY (Min. 3 pages)

 Economic Feasibility - The purpose of the economic feasibility assessment is to


determine the positive economic benefits to the organization that the proposed system
will provide. This assessment typically involves a cost/ benefits analysis.

 Operational feasibility - Should analyze how the project plan satisfies the requirements
identified in the requirements analysis phase of system development.

 Technical Feasibility – To assess if the technical resources meet capacity and whether the
technical team is capable of converting the ideas into working systems. Technical
feasibility also involves evaluation of the hardware and the software requirements of the
proposed system.

HARDWARE SPECIFICATION
 Should specify only the minimum hardware requirements needed for your project (Not
your laptop specification)

Steps to be followed:
 Use italics for titles of books, periodicals, journals etc.
 Use alphabetical order.
 If the author of a document is not given, begin the reference with the title of the document.
