Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in English 7

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. identify the various types of conflict evident in the situation provided;
b. demonstrate the different types of conflict through a presentation; and
c. explain the significance of conflict in life.

II. Content
a. Topic: Types of Conflict
b. Materials: Video. Powerpoint Presentation, laptop, chalkboard, chalk
c. References: Grade 7 English Learning Package, Youtube, Google
d. Integrations: Math – The students will be able to show their knowledge in interpreting graphs.
Science – The students will be able to share their thoughts about climate change.

III. Procedure
a. Routine
i. Prayer
ii. Checking of attendance
iii. Checking of classroom condition
iv. Review of previous lesson
b. Motivation
i. The teacher will show the students a recent post about Baguio’s famous purple ube jam
being replaced with white ube jam due to the lack of supply of purple yam.
ii. The students will be asked why they think this happens.
iii. After eliciting opinions from the students, the teacher will later reveal that it is because the
farmers are having a hard time growing ube because of climate change.
c. Presentation
i. The teacher will present a graph the number of climate-related disasters around the world.
ii. After this, the teacher will present pictures related to climate change that will also be used
to reveal the lesson about conflict.
d. Discussion
i. The teacher will show a photo and will ask the students to give their own definition of the
word conflict.
ii. The teacher will now discuss the types of conflicts.
iii. The teacher will ask: “Is conflict important in our lives? Why or why not?”
e. Application
i. By pairs, the students will try to identify the type of conflict present in the situations that
the teacher will provide.
f. Generalization
i. What is conflict?
ii. What are the different types of conflict?

IV. Evaluation
Differentiated instruction: The students will demonstrate their understanding of the lesson through
a group activity. The class will be divided into 5 groups. Each group will be tasked to present a
scene about the type of conflict assigned to them. The students may also act, dance, sing, or recount
a story to deliver their presentation.

V. Assignment
Create a colorful drawing for each of the types of conflict you have learned today. Each drawing can
be done in a half long bond paper. Do not forget to put a label for each drawing. You may submit your
creations until next week, Monday.
