Ans. These are the gene mutation and chromosomal mutation.
3. How does gene mutation differ from chromosomal mutation?
Ans: Gene mutation is a permanent change in the DNA sequence that makes up a gene while chromosomal
mutation occurs at the chromosome level resulting in gene deletion, duplication or rearrangement that may
occur during the cell cycle and meiosis.
4. What are some genetic disorders in humans?
Ans: Cri du chat, Down’s syndrome, Edward’s syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome, Klinefelter’s syndrome
and Turner’s syndrome.
5. It is a genetic disorder due to extra copy of chromosome 21.
