I have had the pleasure of working with Brianne Hansen since January 1, 2018. In
her six-month tenure so far with DP Management, LLC she has already exceeded
expectations and I look forward to her continued impact at our company in the future.
Brianne has many qualities that make her a successful and dedicated employee. The first
thing I have noticed is that she has great detail-orientation. It has been very difficult to
find someone for this position as a Commercial Property Manager because it requires
both people skills and detail-orientation, which I believe is rare to find someone who
masters both skills. Our accounting department can sometimes be the biggest critic of our
Property Managers and Brianne has managed to build a great relationship and rapport
with our accounting department. She cares about getting the details right and doing a
good job. It is a breath of fresh air to see how diligent she is with her accounts payable,
receivable, and her budgets. In fact, she has managed to clean up all the accounts
receivables for her property, Lakeside Plaza, within her first month of employment.
Another excellent quality about Brianne that makes her a fantastic employee are
her people skills. Not only has she built relationships with difficult personalities
internally, but also externally. Brianne is always courteous with tenants, remembers to
follow up, and cares about resolving their issues. She keeps a level-head with the
occasional irate tenant and always maintains professionalism and positivity in
challenging situations. I know that she cares about giving the tenants great customer
service, understands the impact on the business, and how important her role is in
maintaining those relations. We trust that Brianne’s decision-making and communication
with tenants is professional and in the best interest of the company. In fact, Brianne was
able to take on additional responsibility by acquiring more property in her first six
months, which is impressive. She has now taken over management for Bryan Square
which has really helped take this off the President’s hands who was previously handling
it directly. I know he appreciates being able to rely on her as I know previously he did not
trust other people to take this on and that’s why he was handling it personally, so that
says a lot that he trusted Brianne to do it.
Although it has only been six months so far, Brianne has already exhibited great
leadership skills as well. Although she doesn’t currently have direct reports, I see her as a
positive leadership influence throughout the company. Brianne has an uncanny ability to
bring people together. Brianne is social and outgoing and is always trying to include
others in group activities and make a point for us to build more comradery as a company
by going on more social gatherings. This has been great for the morale at our corporate
office by building this team spirit. Brianne also gave me some great ideas to formulate a
leadership book club which I will be implementing this year. Brianne’s input and ideas
have done so much to breathe new life and energy into our corporate office team, and I
truly appreciate having her on our team and getting to pick her brain. She has also
impressed me by starting our leadership development program, which is a voluntary
program, and she is already almost finished with the 12-week program. She also was
excited when we asked if she would be interested in attending a leadership boot camp at
UNO in March to help a fellow Property Manager we were already sending. She attended
and they both had a great time and learned a lot. She also exhibits great leadership by
participating in our community involvement events and volunteering throughout the year.
Lastly, besides her stellar work ethic, leadership qualities, people skills, and
detail-orientation, Brianne is also very goal-oriented and self-motivated. This has also
been a key proponent in her success at our company. Since Brianne works directly for our
President and he is often very busy, Brianne and the rest of the office often need to work
independently, be self-motivated, and take initiative daily to achieve business goals.
Brianne has done a fantastic job working in this environment. Some of the many
examples of Brianne’s goal-orientation and high achievement are: of the annual goals that
we set at the beginning of the year for our management retreat, she has already
accomplished four out of the six goals; she has increased the social media presence for
Lakeside Plaza by 69%; she has successfully run the live remote event for Lakeside
Plaza’s Disney Days and increased attendance at the event compared to prior years
according to our tenant’s comments.
In summary, Brianne has been a valuable member of our team and I look forward
to all she will accomplish in her career with us. If Brianne continues to bring this level of
performance, I believe she will be successful in whatever she puts her mind to. If you
