METHODOLOGY

Research design

The experimental research design of this study will be descriptive

because this study will be comparing the two types of air freshener and for the

conduction of the experiment it will based on the reaction time and

performance. For this research study, the researcher’s dependent variable will

base on the time and how it will take for the two air freshener to perform all

the procedure, and performance will be the action on how will the air freshener

will change the odour of the atmosphere inside the room. The researcher’s

equipment that will be using for this research experiment the study utilizes the

following materials and instruments: Averrhoa bilimbi L. (Bilimbi), commercial

air freshener or lysol, spray bottle, isopropyl alcohol, thin sheet of cloth, hot

water, and a mason jar.

Preparation of materials

For the preparation of the study, the following research materials will be

collected. 85.7 g of Averrhoa bilimbi L. (Bilimbi) this will be gathered near the

researcher’s house. For the isopropyl alcohol and the commercial air freshener

or lysol will be bought in a convenience store. While the fruit peeler, 16 oz of

spray bottle, thin sheet of cloth, 1 liter of hot water, and a 500 ml mason jar

will be provided by the researcher.

Preparation of Setup

For the preparation of the home made air freshener the researcher will

provide a the materials first before starting the process in making the home

made There will be one procedure or flow in conducting the disinfectant for the

experiment. The section or students that will evaluate for this experiment it will

be coming from the students of Immaculate Heart of Mary College – Parañaque.

The materials onsent letter for the senior high students in Immaculate Heart of

Mary College – Parañaque and this will be the information to them that the

researcher will have an evaluation for the students in conducting the

experimentation.

Experimentation/DataGathering

The researcher will conduct the experimentation on the Senior High

School building. Before conducting the test the researcher will form the chairs

in a circular form. The researcher will conduct the experiment in room 7 that

will start at 4:00 A.M ended at 4:20 P.M, before the researcher conduct the

experiment for the Senior high school students, they need to be dismissed

before conducting the experiment, there must be no distraction that will make

inside the room while conducting the experimentation. After the participants

saw the presentation they will answer a survey for the conclusion of the

disinfectants.
Statistical Analysis

The analysis of the data was conducted during the experiment and

having the look at the students. The researcher used T - test as its statistical

tool for this research study because there will be two disinfectants that will

compare if which of this has the best outcome in eliminating unpleasant smell.
