ABOUT CLIENT
Pulau Bukom is an integrated oil and petrochemicals site with manufacturing facili-
ties for fuels, lubricant base oils and specialty chemicals. Bukom is the largest whol-
ly-owned Shell refinery globally in terms of crude distillation capacity (500,000 bar-
rels per day). It is also home to a world-class Ethylene Cracker Complex (up to a
million tonnes per annum) and a Butadiene Extraction Unit (155,000 tonnes per an-
num).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation, configuration and commissioning of Field Instruments like Pressure,

Flow, Level transmitters of different types and manufactures.
• Interpretation of Piping and Instrumentation drawings.
• Installation of thermocouple’s, RTD’S, Thermowell and Temperature Transmitters.
• Installation of Transmitter Manifolds, Impulse Tubing, Condensate Pots and Pack-
ing Fill fluids.
• Installation and calibration of Condition monitoring instruments like Acceleration
probes, Axial Displacement, Radial Displacement and Speed Measuring Probes.
• Installation, calibration and commissioning of Control valves, ON-OFF Valves,
Valve Positioners, Limit Switches and I-P converters.
• Installation of Flame scanners in the combustion equipment’s.
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of Air Fire Detection systems,
• Installation of Control panels, Panel accessories and panel wiring.
• Onsite calibration of Displacer level transmitters.
• Periodic testing of H2S And Fuel Gas detectors.
• Removal and Reinstallation of all instruments in turn arounds.

• Layout, Measure, Fabrication and Installation of Cable trays, Conduits, and Sup-

• Installation of Stanchions, Instrument mounting, Cable Glanding and termination.
• Installation of Pressure and temperature gauges.
• Installation of vibration instruments.
• Planning and Installation of Ex-proof Junction Boxes in the process plant. Instal-

termination.
• Understanding Instrument Hookup Drawing. Planning and Execution of Transmit-
ter’s Impulse tubing installation.
• Responsible of Instrument Air line Installations. Manifold Branching and Support
Installation.
• Installation of Steam tracers for instrument tapping’s and process line.
• Test Instruments Handled – HART Communicator, Signal Simulators, Multimeters,
Dead Weight Tester, Druck, Odin Pump, Oil Bath / Dry Bath.
