Comparative Analysis of

PisoNet and PisoWifi

Background of the study:

We are living in the modern age also known as the information age where in the
internet was paved and technology are invented like computer and wifi,Nowadays
especially in the students if they are struggling to find there projects or assignments
they will just go to the computer shop to search there assignments or projects or they
will buy or install a Wifi Modemn so they just will connect there smartphone to the Wifi
and they will just easily search it on google ,but the problem is not all the students are
have enough money to rent a computer in the computer shop or to buy a Wifi Modemn
so the computer shop owner and the other entrepreneur think a strategy that the
students can afford to rent a computer so they built PisoNet, PisoNet also known as
“Hulog piso” the PisoNet is basically merge of Computer rental Where in the customers
can pay services by inserting coins to the machine, the rate of the PisoNet is typically
4 minutes/P1, almost everybody knows about the PisoNet and it slowly easily replace
the old system of computer shop, especially in low-income areas but there’s another
sachet-type internet business that may take over the PisoNet which is the PisoWifi the
process is the same as Pisonet the customer will just insert a coins in the machine and
you will just connect your smartphone and you can easily surf on the internet to search
your assignment or to check your social media but the different is in the PisoWifi you will
use a smartphone unlike in the PisoNet, the PisoNet is using a computer and the
typically rate of the PisoWifi is 6 minutes/P1, and the difference between this two is the
PisoWifi is using a router to fasten the speed of the the internet while the PisoNet is
using a cable,the cable will be connected to the lan of the Wifi Modemn.
Statement of the Problem:

The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a significant difference in

this two.
Specially it seeks to answer these following questions:
1. What is the percentage of the respondents who prefer to use the PisoNet and
PisoWifi?
2. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of the:
a.Grade Level.
b.Track.
3. How did these two change the old system of internet Café?

Scope and limitation of the study:

When: First Semester of s.y 2019-2020.

Where: Brgy 201/Brgy Merville.
Who: 50 respondents.

Significance of the Study:

The findings of this study could be helpful to the following:

Students: they will benefit our study because they will know what is the best to rent if
they are going to make assignments or projects.
Computer Shop Owner: also they will benefit this research if they are going to make this
business.

REVIEW OF THE RELATED LITERATURE:

This chapter includes the review of related literature, conceptual framework/research

paradigm, theoretical frame work, research hypothesis and definition of terms.

Variable 1: PisoNet

According to (Lim). They were able to offer data service in “sachet” with the
advent of piso net. This allows their customer to pay only for the internet services that
they need. Piso Net became popular because it offers benefits life early maintenance,
no need for additional manpower, can utilize space, and the customer can access sited
and other apps cheaply.

Variable 2: PisoWifi

With more and more affordable smartphones out in the wild today, the Piso WiFi
system might be the next big thing in affordable internet. The base cost of the unit is
around Php 25K, and can run off of any DSL connection though the people who sell it
recommend you using at least 3Mbps. Up to 30 people can connect to the thing at any

Theoritical Framework:

Research Hypothesis

Null Hypothesis:
 There is no significance difference in the speed of the internet connection
because the PisoWifi is using a router to fasten the speed of wifi while the PisoNet
depends on the performance of the system unit and it is using a cable to connect the
internet to wifi.

Alternative Hypothesis:

There is significance difference in the speed of the internet connection

because the PisoWifi is using a router to fasten the speed of wifi while the PisoNet
depends on the performance of the system unit and it is using a cable to connect the
internet to wifi.

Definition of terms:

PisoNet- it is known in the PH as :Hulog Piso” it is basically merge of computer rental.

PisoWifi- it is also the same as the PisoNet, it is a sachet-type machine

Internet- it is the a global computer network providing a variety of information and

communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized
communication protocols.

System Unit- is the main part of a desktop computer.

Router- it is use to fasten the speed of Wifi
