The Weekly Law Reports have been published by the ICLR since 1953. They are the only series of Law
Reports to cover cases heard in the House of Lords, Privy Council, the Court of Appeal, all Divisions
of the High Court and the relevant decisions of the Ecclesiastical Courts (religious), the Employment
Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Justice of the European Community.
For those wanting to have authoritative English case law precedents, whether as a practitioner or as a
student, reference to The Weekly Law Reports is a must.
Format
The Weekly Law Reports are published in approximately 45-48 parts and designed to be bound in 4
separate volumes at the end of each year.
Volume 1 (published throughout the year) covers cases of general interest, while Volume 2 (January
to June) and Volume 3 (July to December) cover the cases which will subsequently appear with the
reporter’s notes of argument in The Law Reports. Volume 1 binds into two volumes at the year end.
Subscriptions to the Weekly Law Reports run from January to December. New subscribers will duly
receive parts published since the beginning of the subscription year.
