EDUCATION

Before anything else, I would like to greet my beloved adviser ma’am Leticia R.
Francisco, my friends and listener a pleasant morning. Standing in front of you today is
Christine Joy A. Taneo that will kindly deliver a speech regarding education.
As you know, education is a process of facilitating learning, acquisition of knowledge,
skills, values, beliefs and habits. Education takes place at school, school is where we can
train our intellectual skills. Are not you wondering why our parents and guardians sends
us to school?! Of course, that is for us to learn, learn how to read, learn how to write,
and to conduct a proper manner, because acquiring those skills can make a big
beneficial to an individual. At first we may not know what is the importance of
education, that’s why there’s some student that engage to awful things such as cutting in
classes, making an excuses that is false just to make their absence in class, and especially
that thing what we call “physically present but mentally absent” or in short not listening
to the teacher’s lecture. Why does other student do it so? Maybe because they had not
yet realized how powerful education is! It can make them successful, by assisting them
reach their goal, not literally successful, but it has an assurance that it can make their
lives more comfortable and healthy. But as we grow old, we gradually realize how
education could help us. For those individual that has not yet realized their ambition in
life, well education is here to help and guide them pick some.
Yes, we can say that there are countless numbers of people that has undergone a process
of education, but why? Why not all of them become successful? Maybe because they did
not use their acquired education properly! Education has a proper usage, of course, but
if you use it in an improper way, well I will give you a thumbs down for that. You should
not use your acquired education in a bad term, like looking down on a certain someone
anyone could have a perspective of you as a “educated but not totally mannered”.
Educated person is able to identify right from wrong, and good from bad, exploring
thoroughly what could be the consequence of one’s action before making a move.
Education should be accompanied by manner for it to be more useful. We student that
could attend school are very fortunate, because we have an opportunity to pursue our
goal, look at our surroundings, there are some people that could not attend school, so
why waste it? Grab a hold of this opportunity and don’t put it aside, make it your
priority.
Education could lift us out of poverty, poverty is the main problem of our society, well
education is also the main step that can be our assistant to finish and reach the top.
Reaching our ambition is equivalent to having an excellent living, and that means
getting out of poverty. That’s how valuable education can be.
I have stated my knowledge regarding education, and I am proud to tell you that I am a
genuine fan of education that’s why I am and will always be a good student, and also be
a very grateful to education.
