1. It better to know or not to know?

It is better to know. It’s sometimes unsettling, surprising and it can be frightening. But
those adjectives can be taken to describe some of the most wonderful things about life.
Sheltering oneself from knowledge isn’t nearly as satisfying as gathering the abilities to discover
knowledge on your own. The excitement, the joy of discovering are far greater than the comfort
of imagining

2. Why is there something instead of nothing?

Religious people have a quick answer to “Why is there something instead of nothing?” I’m
not religious, but when I’ve thought hard enough about it, I’ve realized that it’s as plausible as
anything else that life on Earth was created by some other intelligent life, or that we’re part of a
simulation, or a bunch of other possibilities that would all entail us having a creator. But in each
possible case, the existence of the creator still needs an explanation why was there an original
creator instead of nothing and to me, any religious explanation inevitably hits the same wall.

3. The Ethics behind man and animal hybrids.

4. The complexity of evolution process VS the tenets of creationism.

The ideas of "creation science" derive from the conviction that God created the universe—including
humans and other living things—all at once in the relatively recent past. However, scientists from many
fields have examined these ideas and have found them to be scientifically insupportable. For example,
evidence for a very young earth is incompatible with many different methods of establishing the age of
rocks. Furthermore, because the basic proposals of creation science are not subject to test and
verification, these ideas do not meet the criteria for science. Indeed, U.S. courts have ruled that ideas of
creation science are religious views and cannot be taught when evolution is taught.
5. Whether science is a thing look away out the world

The greatest need is to be able to have the foresight necessary to make investments on the frontier
of science even if, at the time you make those investments, you cannot figure out how that might make
you rich tomorrow.

7. Plausibility of multi-verse

The universe we live in may not be the only one out there. In fact, our universe could be
just one of an infinite number of universes making up a "multiverse." Though the concept may
stretch credulity, there's good physics behind it. And there's not just one way to get to a
multiverse numerous physics theories independently point to such a conclusion. In fact, some
experts think the existence of hidden universes is more likely than not.

Scientists can't be sure what the shape of space-time is, but most likely, it's flat as opposed
to spherical or even donut-shape and stretches out infinitely. But if space-time goes on forever,
then it must start repeating at some point, because there are a finite number of ways particles
can be arranged in space and time. So if you look far enough, you would encounter another
version of you in fact, infinite versions of you. Some of these twins will be doing exactly what
you're doing right now, while others will have worn a different sweater this morning, and still
others will have made vastly different career and life choices.

8. Latest discovered in astrophysics inducing Mars parts.

Methane in the atmosphere in mars may imply the existence of a source to continually
replenish the gas. Mars Express science team suggested the presence of methane in the
atmosphere at a concentration of about 10 ppbv.

9. The importance of promoting science literacy.

So science literacy is more about being able to apply concepts you learned in science to
explain what you observe, and less about knowing facts off the top of your head. So the results
of the poll may not be a good reflection of scientific literacy. Nevertheless, it does raise the
question, just how important is science in our lives
