KERRY PAG-46 appears clear with a slight golden hue and IR Ultra Coolant 46 appears clear
with a slight orange hue.
Any discernable color differences can be contributed to the unique formulations of the blends
and does not indicate that a critical additive is either missing or present within the fluids.
Testing:
After Oven Testing: (Fluids from Left to right: 100% KERRY PAG-46 – 100% IR Ultra Coolant 46)
KERRY PAG-46
Sequence II Foam Testing:
Data Analysis:
Oven Test:
None of the samples in this test showed signs of fallout, separation, or solid formation. None of
the steel coupons displayed any signs of corrosion. All of the copper samples displayed a small
amount of darkening; this darkening is not considered to be significant.
All of the samples showed darkening upon completion of the oven testing; this darkening can be
contributed to the formulations of the two blends and does not indicate degradation.
Sequence II Foam Testing:
None of the samples displayed a significant amount of foam. All of the samples tested below the
specification of 25 mL of foam.
Conclusions:
No separation or solid formation was observed within any of the samples. None of the metal
coupons displayed a significant amount of corrosion. Furthermore, all the mixtures displayed
excellent foaming properties.
With respect to this testing, KERRY PAG-46 is fully compatible and miscible with
Ingersoll Rand Ultra Coolant 46.
