Based on your performance in the UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) 2018, you have been shortlisted for the centralized counseling for admission to B. Tech programs
being offered by UPES for the academic year 2018-2022/2024.

To provide a fair chance, this year onwards, we will generate ranks only for those students who will be present for centralized counseling. This on spot ranking will be generated
based on the UPESEAT 2018 performance and students attending the counselling on the allotted date and time. This will ensure that students who are present for the
counseling do not suffer because of the absentees and get maximum opportunity to get a program of their choice.
You must report as per the below mentioned details:

experience that will assist you in making an informed choice. We will have our faculty members, placement team, representatives of our academic industry partners like IBM
and Xebia, alumni and enrolments team to guide you. For the first time, you will be able to experience our beautiful campus first-hand through virtual reality.

We look forward to seeing you at the counseling. Please go through the below mentioned instructions and notes carefully.
Important Instructions to attend Counselling:
• Please carry a copy of this online counseling invitation letter.
• Please bring a printout of your UPESEAT (Entrance Examination) Admit Card.
• Please bring your 4 passport size photographs.
• Bring your original class 10th and 12th mark sheets with one set of self-attested photocopies. The original mark sheets will be returned to you on-the-spot after verification,
and the photocopies will be retained by UPES.
o If you do not have the original mark sheets, you can bring the photocopies of your mark sheets attested by a gazette officer or a notarized attested copy from the court.
o In case you do not have the original mark sheet of Class 12th or an attested photocopy of it, you can bring a copy of your result as downloaded from the website. This
photocopy of your result must be self-attested by you.
• Demand Draft of INR 1,00,000/- (part payment towards first semester fees) in favour of "UPES Fee Account" payable at Dehradun to confirm the seat for admission
• Accommodation on campus for female applicants: UPES is offering accommodation on campus for female applicants. Since the number of seats are limited, you are advised
to block your seat when you come for counseling by submitting another demand draft of INR 1,37,800/- in favour of "UPES Fee Account" payable at Dehradun towards the
hostel accommodation. The hostel allotment will be done on “merit order ranking” basis.
• Accommodation on campus for male applicants: Limited number of hostel seats on campus is also available for male applicants. You are advised to block your seat when
you come for counseling by submitting another demand draft of INR 1,37,800/- in favour of "UPES Fee Account" payable at Dehradun towards the hostel accommodation. The
hostel allotment will be done on “merit order ranking” basis.

Please Note
• Applicants with a compartment in any subject should ignore this counseling call.
• Applicants with less than 60% marks in Class 10th, 12th and 12th PCM do not meet the eligibility criteria of admission to the 4 years B. Tech programs offered by UPES.
• However, applicants who have scored more than 50% marks in Class 10th, 12th and 12th PCM can seek admission to BCA, B.Sc, B. Tech LLB programs offered by UPES.

Important Notification for Applicants and Guardians

Admission to all UPES programs will be purely based on merit and applicants are strongly advised against canvassing and/or using extraneous pressure to subvert our
selection process. If any applicant is found guilty of such an activity, his/her candidature is liable for immediate disqualification. Please note that:
1.There will be no deviation from the eligibility criteria and selection process clearly laid out in our Information Bulletin unless stipulated by the relevant approving body.
2. UPES does not have any Management Quota seats.
3. UPES does not have the system of Capitation Fees for allotting seats in any program.
4. All fees and charges that have to be paid by the students have been clearly specified in the Information Bulletin.
5. ONLY ONE PERSON SHALL BE ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY THE APPLICANT IN COUNSELING.
6. B. Tech counseling will happen in two sessions.
Morning session is from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and afternoon session is from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Students travelling from outstation are requested to plan their return journey and accommodation accordingly.
7. The applicant will be allotted the program of choice subject to seat availability.
8. Please note that program once allotted is final and cannot be changed at any stage.
9. No TA/ DA shall be provided to the applicants for attending the counseling session.

Tie in Ranks
• Seats will get allotted strictly based on the UPES merit order spot ranking under All India category.
• In case an applicant has a tie with another applicant in All India category, the applicant with a higher PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) score in Class 12 will get
priority.
• Further, if there is a tie in Class 12 PCM marks as well, the applicant who is elder in age will be given a priority to take admission.
