- Ask the students to share their thoughts
about these questions:
1. When was the last time you wanted
and/or needed to buy something?
2. What did you like/needed to buy?
3. What were the considerations you
made in deciding what to choose?
 Present the day’s objectives
c. Presentation of the Lesson-
- Use the answers of the students to
introduce the day’s lesson on comparison
and contrast as a pattern of paragraph
development.
- Divide the class into two cooperative
learning stations. Each CLS will be given
the selection “The Filipino Woman: Cory
and Leonor, Gabriela and Imelda” by
Carmen Guerrero Nakpil.
- Each group will complete a Venn
diagram to illustrate the similarities and
differences between the women
