Train the Trainer Course

Rock Lilly’s facilitator's Course, Train the Trainer Course is an ETDP SETA accredited course. The course
comprises 2 unit standards at SAQAs NQF Levels 4 and 5 with a total of 20 credits.

The course equips the learner with competencies to conduct training and development, and to facilitate
learning using a variety of methodologies; thereby providing formal recognition for trainers and
facilitators. The formal recognition afforded trainers and facilitators enhances career advancement and
employment mobility.

Train the Trainer Course enables the learner to:

 Plan and prepare for training, facilitation and development.


 Deliver presentations for training and development purposes.
 Deliver group training sessions.
 Facilitate group learning activities.
 Review and evaluate training, facilitation, and learning and development.

Assessors Course

Rock Lilly’s Assessors Course is an ETDP Seta accredited course based on a unit standard at SAQAs NQF
Level 5. The course accrues a total of 15 credits.

The course imparts the learner with knowledge, skills and attitudes to conduct outcomes based
assessments of learning and training interventions. The course further provides formal recognition of
Assessors. The formal recognition afforded Assessors through acquisition of the Assessors Course is the
basis upon which registration and accreditation is granted across all Education and Training Quality
Authorities (ETQAs) namely SETAs.

Overview of the Assessors Course objectives are to enable learners to:

 Demonstrate understanding of outcomes based assessments.


 Prepare for assessments
 Conduct assessments
 Provide feedback for assessments
 Review assessments

Moderators Course

Rock Lilly’s Moderators Course is a credit bearing course at NQF Level 6, with 10 credits. The course is
for people who conduct internal or external moderation of outcomes-based assessments. The
assessments could be in terms of outcomes defined in a number of documents, including but not limited
to unit standards, exit level outcomes, assessment standards, curriculum statements and qualifications.
This course will contribute towards the achievement of a variety of qualifications particularly within the
field of Education Training and Development Practices and Human Resource Development.

Those who are found competent on this course will be able to moderate assessments in terms of the
relevant outcome statements and quality assurance requirements. The candidate-moderator will be
able to use the prescribed Quality Assurance procedures in a fair, valid, reliable and practicable manner
that is free of all bias and discrimination, paying particular attention to the three groups targeted for
redress: race, gender and disability.

In particular, people credited with this unit standard are able to:

 Demonstrate understanding of moderation within the context of an outcomes-based


assessment system,
 Plan and prepare for moderation,
 Conduct moderation,
 Advise and support assessors,
 Report, record and administer moderation, and
 Review moderation systems and processes

M&E in assessing organizations and program performance in a specific context and has the following
training outcomes:
