1. Platform Summary
Introduction

OptiSoft is a web based platform that allows to analyze in near-real-

time performance the measurements fetched by Android application
installed on many smartphones.
Measurements could be Radio data (Level, Quality, Cells, Network
type) and Standard android library events (mapped on basis Layer3
events)
2. Technical Part
Introduction

There are 3 main tabs available:

- Dashboard - presents latest 24 hours performance.

Grouped into 6 sections this tab offers a readable summary of
all the conducted tests.

- Details – same layout with added filters, that allow drill-

down for the engineering stuff.

- Maps – plot with Radio attributes and Events.

1. Dashboard
 A Standard layout consists of 5 groups of charts:
- CALL ATTEMPTS ON OTHER NETWORKS
- CALL ATTEMPTS
- Pie chart summary section
- ATTEMPTS PER CALL TYPE
- CALL EVENTS VOLTE
- CALL EVENTS CSFB

1.1 CALL ATTEMPTS ON OTHER NETWORKS

Home Network is configurable per client. In case of National

roaming it is very useful for the customer to know when and to what
extend their user is roaming

1.2 CALL ATTEMPTS

We can distinguish 5 main types of calls:

- VOLTE
- CSFB call
- SRVCC
 - 3G and 2G Calls.

On the pie chart the first 3 are presented. Full distribution is

available on the next section

Here 3G and 2G call are classified as “OTHER”

1.4 ATTEMPTS PER CALL TYPE

The above mentioned 3 main types are presented on 1 hour granularity

trend by cumulative bar charts.
1.5 CALL EVENTS VOLTE aND CALL EVENTS CSFB

On the next 2 sections VOLTE and CSFB calls are split by the call
completition type – normal END, Dropped call or Blocked call.

2. Details tab
This tab gives the opportunity to drill down the needed level.

A filter section allows selecting 3 different attributes to drill

down on– either aggregated for the selected elements or “raw” – to
plot the data per the chosen element:

- Network type – single select from all available in the database

records for the network type (distinct method of the records)
- Cell – multi select filed from a drop-down menu, which lists
 all the CGIs in the records from the database. Element’s
aggregation is selected by default

- Probe – multi select from the distinct database record of

IMEIs. Element’s aggregation is selected by default

- The time picker lets the user to filter the fetched data only
for the period of scope limited up to timestamp Date, hour,
minute – even seconds.

The 2 radio buttons lets you select the aggregation level –

independently on each other. If both are selected to fetch “raw”
data a combination by Cell-Probe will be displayed.

Once the filtering conditions are chosen data will be fetched and
displayed.
To let the user read the data to the level he needs the plotted data
can be exported to Excel by choosing the “Export button above the
Filter button:

The export contains all the fields from the Database.

3. Maps
By default latest 1500 records are fetched and automatically plotted
on the map. Auto scaled to show the entire area where any
measurement was recorded.

If you are interested in a particular period - same filters as in

tab “details” are available. The export option is still there.

Furthermore a KML with cells can be loaded.

If you zoom in to the point you are interested, by clicking on a
measurement or events a table pop-s up and is kept on the map until
it is closed – this allows you to compare the attributes of many
points.

The map is can also be zoomed to street view and the records are
still there.
