“RESPECT WEEK”
Monday Oct 7 Self Respect
WEAR SOMETHING COMFORTABLE and SNEAKERS for
ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES “I CHOOSE ME”
Students will participate in Underground Martial Arts Assembly (APR)
Session 1(8:50-9:35)6th and 5th Grades
Session 2(10:00-10:45)7th and 8th Grades

Tuesday Oct 8 School and Environment

WEAR: YOUR SCHOOL COLORS…GREEN AND GOLD
School -We are asking all staff to make a special effort to introduce the
Positive Behavior System emphasizing “What To Do” in all areas of our
school. Mentors/Mediators will explain to 5th and 6th Grade students in
the morning after announcements.
Environment- Teachers should assign students to bring classroom
Recycling can to larger cans outside cafeteria doors at end of the day.
Lunch Duty Staff should direct students to separate disposed items.

Wednesday Oct 9 Respect Your Community (this includes the Fire

Dept, Police, Library, Borough, etc.)
WEAR: RED/WHITE/ BLUE
During Academic Lab, students will be asked to write thank you letters,
letters of appreciation or letters of their choice to those that are involved
in our “community”. Letters will be collected and delivered to their
respective community offices.

Thursday Oct 10 Family and Friends

WEAR YOUR TEAM COLORS
Students and staff are encouraged to wear something that represents
their interests(team, family, heritage, club, etc.). They will be given
sticky notes to compliment another student and “POST IT TWICE
NICE” publicly on board outside the Art Room.

Friday Oct 11 Respect

#SANDYHOOKPROMISE #STARTWITHHELLO
Wear Your Name Tag with a word that describes how you want people
to see you.
Students will complete “Start with Hello” Human Bingo with class and
Speed Introductions with Grade Level. Instructions and forms will be
provided for Academic Lab Time.
