Jellyfish are not really fish. They are invertebrate animals. This means that unlike fish or
people, they have no backbones. In fact, they have no bones at all.
Jellyfish have stomachs and mouths, but no heads. They have nervous systems for sensing
the world around them, but no brains. They are made almost entirely of water, which is why you
can look through them.
Some jellyfish can glow in darkness by making their own light. The light is made by a
chemical reaction inside the jellyfish. Scientists believe jellyfish glow for several reasons. For
example, they may glow to scare away predators or to attract animals they like to eat.
Most jellyfish live in salt water, apart from a few types that live in fresh water. Jellyfish are
found in oceans and seas all over the world. They live in warm, tropical seas and in icy waters
near the North and South poles.
The Great Wall is the longest wall ever made by human which is located in Tiongkok,
China, and it is listed in the world treasure site of UNESCO in 1987. Initially, the structure of the
Great Wall was made by using local material such as brick, wood, and clay. The Great Wall is
not only long, but it is also a collection of short walls which follow the shape of North Tiongkok
mountain range. After the accurate inspection on April 18, 2009, the government of China
announced that the length of the Great Wall is 8. 851 km.
There are some theories related to the purpose of the building of the Great Wall. Some
says that it was built as a boundary between city area and residents’ houses. Other theory reveals
that it was built as the defensive fort, the borderline, and as the communicating tower to deliver
the message during the war era.
