CLASS - X MATHEMATICS
[Time : 3.00 hrs.] [M. M.: 80]

General Instructions:-

(i) All questions are compulsory.


(ii) The question pacer consists of 30 questions divided into four sections, A, B, C and D. Section A
contains 10 questions of 1 mark each, Section B contains 5 questions of 2 marks each, Section C
contains 10 questions of 3 marks each and Section D contains 5 questions of 6 marks each.
(iii) There is no overall choice. However choice has been provided. You have to attempt only one of
the alternatives in all such questions.
(iv) Use of calculator is not permitted. However you may ask for mathematical tables.
(iv) Draw neat and labeled figures wherever required.

1. Given that HCF ( 306, 657) = 9, find LCM (306, a657).


2. In fig. 1 the graph of a polynomial p(x) is given. Find the zeros of the polynomial.

and thus the cost of food for each member increased by R. 5. How many students attended the
picnic?

26. Ten years ago, father was twelve times as old as his son and ten years hence, he will be so old as
his son will be. Find their present ages by graphically method.
27. from the top of a cliff, 60 metres high the angle of depression of the top and bottom of the tower
are observed to be 300 and 600. Find the height of the tower.
28. Prove that ratio of areas of two similar triangles is equal to the square of the ration of their
corresponding sides.
Use the above theorem in the following :
Let triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF and their areas be, respectively, 64 cm2 and 121 cm2. If
EF = 15.4 cm, find BC.
29. The interior of a building is in the form of a cylinder base with radius 12 m and height 3.5m,
surmounted by a cone of equal base and slant height 12.5m. Find the internal curved surface area
