Distribution Process

The floral industry essentially consists of three major components: the growers, the
wholesalers and the retailers whose businesses are quite intermingled. The recent trends
are more towards eliminating the intermediaries, the wholesaler between the growers and
the retailers, so that the flowers are made available to considerably low prices.

The flowers are ordered at Acay’s Flower shop in San Jose, Antique before the selling days.
The materials are already complete to pack up the products and are ready to sell within the
day.

Flowers purchased through bidding will be distribute to the buyers. Unsold flowers
on the second day will be sent back to the growers. Buyers of flowers will be sent to the
packing hall. Sellers will pack the flowers at the packing hall.

Materials
Floral foams are very useful for the flower shop. By anchoring flower stems
in it, florists can build enormous and sometimes gravity-defying
arrangements. The foam also soaks up water which improves the longevity of
the flowers.

Ribbon used to wrap the flowers with cover in it. Use primarily as
decorative binding and tying.

Bouquet sleeves use to cover the flower. The variety of the designs and
colors creates beautiful outcome.

Knife and scissors is a tool with a cutting edge or blade attached to a

handle. Its use is to cut the stem of flowers.

All the materials will be purchased within the cover area of San Jose, Antique,
