Greetings in the Name of Public Service!

In line with our quest for continual improvement of the university’s quality management system and
ISO:9001:2015 re-certification through 2nd Surveillance Audit come October this year, we would like
to request for a benchmarking activity to state universities who have gone before us in their journey
towards ISO certification namely: Tarlac State University, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State
University and the University of Northern Philippines on June 26 –29, 2019.

It is good to learn from Tarlac State University (TSU) on how its QMS has been instrumental in having
outstanding board exam performance especially in Teachers Education and Criminology. We also
want to see the implementation of ISO QMS at work across the management, faculty, students,
administrators and the community it serves in the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University.
The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), being one of the very first SUCs to obtain an ISO
certification is a good institution to benchmark on the aspects of leadership, control and continuous
improvement, data privacy and structural reforms.

The benchmark activity will enable us to solicit how the three state universities make use of ISO
processes in unifying the day to day activities with the major activities of the university, UNP for top
management and control, TSU for academic concerns and DMMSU for triangulations with the
management, faculty and students, and the community.
