LIVING OUT THE CHALLANGE

MATTHEW 25:40
It all made sense when I found out that the East Stroudsburg University
football team was helping to serve the meal. Their coach, an active
member of our church, Jim Terwilliger, was back in the kitchen helping

in reading an article written by a local woman, Caroline

pursue higher education? Unfortunately, this is a nationwide challenge
and ESU is not an isolated case. Thankfully, people of faith are
responding and I’m thrilled that our church is part of the solution.

When the Food Pantry was started several years ago, our
church, through Ana Price, was one of the very first
Community organizations to become involved. The article quotes Ana sharing the scripture which inspires
her, Matthew 25:40, which says, “Truly I [Jesus] tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” The article continues, “It is evident, that Ana’s inspirational
spirit and generosity has truly made a difference in the lives of many community members that she serves.”
There’s that word “inspiration” again, and if you are also inspired by these stories, there are great ways to
help:

1. Come help prepare or serve the meal on Monday afternoons! To help serve, please contact Ana
Price at (570) 460-8423 or argenfishing@yahoo.com.

2. Share your fellowship and company with the guests that come on Monday evenings. Bring family
and friends along with you, and be intentional about meeting new people.

3. Volunteer to help unload and put away Second Harvest food

when deliveries are made.

4. Help transport food to the Warrior Food Pantry at St.

Matthew’s Church.

5. Consider volunteering at the Warrior Food Pantry. To

help serve, please contact Caroline Kuchinski at
ckski@ptd.net.

And as always, be a “prayer warrior” for all who attend and help
at our Monday Community Meal and for those who depend on the
Warrior Food Pantry. Offer gratitude and thanks directly to those
who do so much to make sure everyone has a healthy meal in
our community!

Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Jim
