3. Remove the trunk lid latch and trunk lid lock.

4. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.

ADJUST MENT
1. Adjus t the s triker up, down, right or left until the trunk lid is flus h with the rear edge of the body.

2. Adjus t the trunk hinges up, down, right or left until the gap is flus h between the lid and body.

3. Turn the lid bumpers either clockwis e or counterclockwis e to adjus t the height of the trunk lid.

2. Remove the rear wiper.

3. After loos ening the rear wiper motor mounting bolts (2EA), remove the rear wiper motor.

TORQUE : 4 ~ 7 Nm (40 ~ 70 kg·cm, 3 ~ 5 lb·ft)

2. Loos en the door trim mounting s crews (7EA), remove the trim us ing a trim remover, and then
dis connect the power window s witch connector.

When us ing a trim remover, wrap it with a piece of cloth s o it will not damage the painted s urface.

3. Remove the door trim s eal, s peaker, and connector.

4. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.

GLASS AND REGULAT OR


1. Remove the door trim, door trim s eal, s peaker.("See Page BD-17")
2. Carefully move the glas s by the power window s witch until the 2 mounting bolts appear, then remove
them.

TORQUE : 8 ~ 12 Nm (80 ~ 120 kg·cm, 6 ~ 9 lb·ft)

3. Separate the glas s from the glas s run and carefully pull the glas s out through the window s lot.

Be careful not to drop the glas s and s cratch the glas s s urface.

4. Dis connect the power window motor connector.

5. Loos en the regulator mounting nuts (4EA) and power window motor mounting nuts (3EA), then
remove the regulator as s embly.

TORQUE : 4 ~ 6 Nm (40 ~ 60 kg·cm, 3 ~ 4 lb·ft)

6. After loos ening the front channel mounting nuts (2EA), remove the front channel.

1. Remove the front door trim, door trim s eal and s peaker.("See Page BD-17")
2. Remove the glas s and regulator. ("See Page BD-18")
3. Loos en the latch mounting s crews (3EA).

TORQUE : 8 ~ 11 Nm (80 ~ 110 kg·cm,6 ~ 8 lb·ft)

4. Loos en the outs ide handle mounting bolts (2EA), dis connect the rod, and remove the outs ide handle.

TORQUE : 8 ~ 11 Nm (80 ~ 110 kg·cm,6 ~ 8 lb·ft)

5. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.

1. After loos ening the door hinge mounting bolt lightly, adjus t the door by moving it up or down, or right
or left.

3. Remove 6 regulator as s embly mounting nuts , and remove the regulator as s embly.

TORQUE : 8 ~ 12 Nm (80 ~ 120 kg·cm,6 ~ 9 lb·ft)

4. Remove the glas s run from the channel.

5. After loos ening the s crew attaching the upper channel, remove the channel.

6. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.

FIXED GLASS
1. Remove the rear door trim.("See Page BD-21")
2. Remove the glas s and regulator.("See Page BD-22")
3. Remove the channel.
Remove the fixed glas s by pulling it as s hown in the illus tration.

3. Make mating marks on the glas s and body if the glas s is to be reins talled.

4. Take out the winds hield glas s with the s pecial tool (09861-31400).

INST ALLAT ION


1. Us ing a cutter knife or the s pecial tool (09861-31200), s crape the old s ealant s moothly to a thicknes s
of about 2 mm (0.08 in.) on the bonding s urface around the entire winds hield flange.

Be careful not to remove more adhes ive than neces s ary, and als o not to damage the paintwork on
the body s urface with the knife. If the paintwork is damaged, repair the damaged area with
touch-up paint.

2. Clean the body bonding s urface with a s ponge dampened in alcohol or wax and greas e remover.
3. Ins tall the s pacer in the winds hield aperture.

4. Center a new winds hield glas s in the opening. Mark the location by marking lines acros s the glas s
and body with a greas e pencil at the four points as s hown.

5. Ins tall the winds hield glas s molding without any gaps .

6. Glue the rubber dam to the ins ide s urface of the winds hield glas s around the entire edge as s hown, to

2. Do not grab the webbing when carrying out the pretens ioner s eat belt. It can damage the parts as well
as injury hands s erious ly by unexpected deployment.
3. Do not dis as s emble or repair the pretens ioner s eat belt.
4. After as s embling the mounting bolt temporarily, ins ert the webbing over 500mm to the retractor. (It
can be deployed during ins tallation).
5. After ins tallation, when the webbing is drawn out over 2000mm(from the low anchor plate center to
the retractor center), a little impact can caus e deployment.
6. Do not ins tall the pretens ioner at over 40cm higher.
7. When handling more than one pretens ioner, do not carry them by hand.

PRECAUT IONS FOR ELECT RICAL PRET ENSIONER SEAT BELT HANDLING
1. Do not reus e the pretens ioner s eat belt. It is available jus t one time.
