1. Dis connect the winds hield was her noz z le connecting tube and clip.
2. After loos ening the hood hinge mounting bolts (4EA), remove the hood.
3. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.

2. After dis connecting the hood latch and the hood latch cable, remove the hood latch.
ADJUST MENT
HOOD
1. After loos ening the hood hinge mounting bolt, adjus t the hood by moving it up or down, or right or left.
2. Adjus t the hood height by turning the hood over s lam bumper.

ADJUST MENT
1. Adjus t the s triker up, down, right or left until the trunk lid is flus h with the rear edge of the body.

2. Adjus t the trunk hinges up, down, right or left until the gap is flus h between the lid and body.
3. Turn the lid bumpers either clockwis e or counterclockwis e to adjus t the height of the trunk lid.

2. Loos en the door trim mounting s crews (7EA), remove the trim us ing a trim remover, and then
dis connect the power window s witch connector.
When us ing a trim remover, wrap it with a piece of cloth s o it will not damage the painted s urface.

3. Separate the glas s from the glas s run and carefully pull the glas s out through the window s lot.
Be careful not to drop the glas s and s cratch the glas s s urface.
5. Loos en the regulator mounting nuts (4EA) and power window motor mounting nuts (3EA), then
remove the regulator as s embly.
6. After loos ening the front channel mounting nuts (2EA), remove the front channel.

3. Remove 6 regulator as s embly mounting nuts , and remove the regulator as s embly.
5. After loos ening the s crew attaching the upper channel, remove the channel.
FIXED GLASS
1. Remove the rear door trim.("See Page BD-21")
2. Remove the glas s and regulator.("See Page BD-22")
3. Remove the channel.
Remove the fixed glas s by pulling it as s hown in the illus tration.

1. Ins ert flat tip (-) s crewdriver between the outs ide rearview mirror holder and mirror as s embly.
When prying with a flat tip s crewdriver, wrap it with a s hop towel to prevent damage.

2. After detaching the headlining mounting clips , remove the headlining.

REMOVAL
1. To remove the winds hield, firs t remove the following parts

3. Make mating marks on the glas s and body if the glas s is to be reins talled.
4. Take out the winds hield glas s with the s pecial tool (09861-31400).

Be careful not to remove more adhes ive than neces s ary, and als o not to damage the paintwork on
the body s urface with the knife. If the paintwork is damaged, repair the damaged area with
touch-up paint.
2. Clean the body bonding s urface with a s ponge dampened in alcohol or wax and greas e remover.
3. Ins tall the s pacer in the winds hield aperture.
4. Center a new winds hield glas s in the opening. Mark the location by marking lines acros s the glas s
and body with a greas e pencil at the four points as s hown.
5. Ins tall the winds hield glas s molding without any gaps .
6. Glue the rubber dam to the ins ide s urface of the winds hield glas s around the entire edge as s hown, to

7. Apply a light coat of glas s primer to the outs ide of the dam.

Apply the adhes ive within 5 minutes after applying the primer to the glas s .
10. Apply a light coat of body primer to the original s ealant remaining around the window opening flange.
The glas s s hould be ins talled within 5 minutes after you apply the primer.
11. Us ing s uction cups or the s pecial tool (09861-31400), lower the glas s over the opening, align it with
the marks made in s tep 4 and s et it down on the s ealant.
12. Scrape or wipe exces s adhes ive off with a putty knife or gauz e. Fill all cavities around the winds hield
glas s .
13. Perform a water-leak tes t for the winds hield. Us e a cold water s pray, being careful not to direct a
powerful s tream of water on the new adhes ive material. Allow water to s pill over the edges of the

14. If there are leaks , dry the affected area, then apply s ealant.
1. Keep the winds hield dry for the firs t hour after ins tallation.
2. Let the car s tand for at leas t four hours after winds hield ins tallation. If the car has to be us ed
winthin the firs t 8 hours , it mus t be driven s lowly.
3. Be careful not to s lam the doors with all the windows rolled up.
4. Be careful not to twis t the vehicle exces s ively (s uch as when going in and out of driveways at
an angle or driving over rough, uneven roads ).

Be careful not to remove more adhes ive than neces s ary, and als o not to damage the paintwork on

2. Loos en the 2 mounting bolts and 2 nuts from the luggage rear trim inner rear bumper cover.
4. Loos en the 3 mounting s crews on the mud guard, remove the mud guard, and loos en the rear wheel
hous e inner mounting s crew.

6. After loos ening the rear bumper cover inner rail mounting bolts (Left : 2, Right : 2), remove the rear
bumper as s embly.
7. After loos ening 5 mounting s crew on the rear bumper cover, dis connect the cover from the rail.

2. Loos en the rear s eat mounting bolts and then remove the s eat back (fixed type).
Recline the rear s plit back forward and then loos en the mounting bracket.
Remove the s eat back (Separated type).
3. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal. When ins talling the rear s eat back, tighten the mounting
bracket after ins erting the hook on the bracket.

1. Do not reus e the pretens ioner s eat belt. It is available only one.
2. Do not grab the webbing when carrying out the pretens ioner s eat belt. It can damage the parts as well
as injury hands s erious ly by unexpected deployment.
3. Do not dis as s emble or repair the pretens ioner s eat belt.
4. After as s embling the mounting bolt temporarily, ins ert the webbing over 500mm to the retractor. (It
can be deployed during ins tallation).
5. After ins tallation, when the webbing is drawn out over 2000mm(from the low anchor plate center to
the retractor center), a little impact can caus e deployment.
6. Do not ins tall the pretens ioner at over 40cm higher.
7. When handling more than one pretens ioner, do not carry them by hand.
PRECAUT IONS FOR ELECT RICAL PRET ENSIONER SEAT BELT HANDLING
1. Do not reus e the pretens ioner s eat belt. It is available jus t one time.
2. Do not grab the webbing when carrying out the pretens ioner s eat belt. It can damage the parts as well
as injury hands s erious ly by unexpected deployment.
3. Do not dis as s emble or repair the pretens ioner s eat belt.
4. After s ecurely ins talling the pretens ioner, connect the battery.
5. Removal procedure for the prtens ioner
A. Check that the power is turned off and the ignition key is at "STOP".
B. Dis connect the (-) negative battery terminal.
C. Wait about one minute.
D. After dis connecting the gas generator, loos en the mounting bolt and dis connect the pretens ioner.
6. Ins tallation is the revers e of removal.
