The authors are namely Darrell Sawmiller, Song Li, Md Shahaduzzaman, Adam J. Smith,
Demian Obregon, Brian Giunta, Cesar V. Borlongan , Paul R. Sanberg and Jun Tan who conducted
an experiment involving luteolin, a flavone, type of a flavonoid with a yellow crystalline appearance
that are most often found in leaves, but is also seen in rinds. Experiencing traumatic brain injury
causes Alzheimer’s disease which is serious and dangerous. They come up with luteolin and tested
the ability of this kind of flavonoid if it can help to reduce and minimize Alzheimer’s disease
pathologies that arise induced by traumatic brain injury.

The introduction of the journal was discussed well, beginning with the problem itself – the
nature of the disease and covering all the possible things involved in the study up to its effects as
well as the agents or pathogens that induces Alzheimer’s disease. The purpose of the study was
coherently illustrated, being straight forward to its main goal. The results and discussion was first
discussed before the methods, nevertheless, each of the procedure were explained clearly giving
the values of each instruments used and the steps or directions that was done. The methods were
valid that proves that there is a relation between the methods done and the objectives of the study.
The sample selection was adequate enough which are essential in answering and proving the
experiment. With the results and discussions, they provided illustrations or pictures to be clearly
understood. Each of the results were evaluated and explained in detailed and the interpretations
supported to prove that their hypothesis met the expected goal and helped the study that it
revealed the researcher’s intention. The conclusion have clearly stated the summary and result of
the said experiment.

Overall, the scientific journal has greatly presented its study. Luteolin is not hard to find
which gives an advantage for an easy access and I don’t see any disadvantage for using and
considering this as a cure for reducing Alzheimer’s disease pathologies. From its main objective up
to putting it into action, it convinces the readers that the study was beneficial. By providing all the
necessary information and details, it is for sure, some researchers will also conduct and have this
kind of experiment to support the study. With this, it will eventually lead us to find a new discovery
for possible treatments to serious diseases and problems that gives burden to human’s body.
