 ABSTRACT

Entrepreneurship has been the engine propelling much of the growth of the
business sector as well as a driving force behind the rapid expansion of the
social sector. This report offers a comparative analysis of commercial and
social entrepreneurship. The analysis highlights key similarities and
differences between these two forms of entrepreneurship and presents a
framework on how to approach the social entrepreneurial process more
systematically and effectively. Entrepreneurship is a complex term that's
often defined simply as running your own business. But there's a difference
between a "business owner" and an "entrepreneur," and although one can
be both, what distinguishes entrepreneurship is a person's attitude.
Entrepreneurship is the capacity and willingness to develop, organize and
manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a
profit. The most obvious example of entrepreneurship is the starting of new
businesses.

A commercial entrepreneur is a business professional whose main goal is to create a

standard business model that can be used by several companies across the board. They
tend to concentrate on bringing new ideas to life within the business market. Commercial
entrepreneurs are focused on profits and standardization.

Evan Thomas Spiegel [(born June 4, 1990) is an American Internet

entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of the American
multinational technology and social media company Snap Inc., which
he created (as Snapchat Inc.) with Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown
while they were students at Stanford University.

Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing
social problems. They are ambitious and persistent, tackling major social issues and offering
new ideas for wide-scale change. In other words, every leading social entrepreneur is a
mass recruiter of local change makers—a role model proving that citizens who channel their
passion into action can do almost anything.

HEads Conference and is a High Potential Global Leader according to IMD's Global Leader
Index. He has studied Law, Intellectual Property and Marketing and served on the Editorial
Board of the United Nations Magazine.
