Abstract

The innovation of the Internet has made rapid progress, adding simplicity to daily life.

Introduction

The Internet is a global network of computer networks that link universities, state, comm
ercial and other computers around the world. There are thousands of networks, hundreds of
thousands of machines, and millions of users on the Internet, with numbers growing daily. By
using the Internet, you can send e-mails, communicate with friends around the world, and get
information on a wide range of subjects.

A variety of useful words:

·internet - digital network linking millions of computers across the globe

·world wide web – an internet part; The selection of documents and software on the internet
serves the world.
·website - a series of connected documents containing text and other media elements,
including graphics, animation, audio and video.
·webpage - a single file or "page" on your website
·homepage - home page or front door to a website; typically provides an information
table and page map for the rest of the site.
·web address - any website's exclusive email. Also known as URL (uniform resource
locator)
·hyperlink - an item in a digital document that links to another position in the same
document or to a completely different document. Link usually appears as blue underlined text.
·web browser – software programs that let you view web pages and other documents on
the internet. They “translate” Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) files into the text, images,
sounds and other features you see online.
·internet service provider (ISP) – a company that provides an individual or organization
with access to the internet, usually for a free.
