a) Sebagai manajer SDM di perusahaan tersbut, salah satu tugas nya adalah untuk
Mempertemukan ditengah-tengah kebutuhan organisasi dan manajemen serta kepentingan
karyawan. Jadi saya tetap harus mengikuti sistem yang baru tetapi dengan persetujuan para
pekerja juga. Saya harus bisa menemukan titik tengah diantara kemauan perusahaan dan
kemauan karyawan.
b) Dapat dilihat dari case study bahwa karyawan menolak mengenai sistem baru yang
diterapkan dan bukan karena perubahan gaji mereka. Ini dapat diartikan bahwa para karyawan
ini bukan money driven dan mereka ingin juga menikmati pekerjaannya. Sementara perusahaan
hanya memikirkan bagaimana untuk memuaskan konsumen dan memperbaiki sistem dari kultur
korupsi.
Jadi menurut saya, untuk mengontrol para karyawan, diperlukannya democratic
leadership style. Democratic leadership is a type of leadership style in which members of the
group take a more participative role in the decision-making process. So, by implementing this
leadership style, the workers can express their thoughts and opinions and prevent any further
threats sent to the company. Because group members are encouraged to share their thoughts,
democratic leadership can lead to better ideas and more creative solutions to problems. Group
members also feel more involved and committed to projects, making them more likely to care
about the end results. Research on leadership styles has also shown that democratic leadership
leads to higher productivity among group members.
Not only that, I would also implement the Daniel pink’s theory. Daniel Pink states that
businesses and leaders should use a new approach to motivation which is based on self-
determination. Pink's key points on the three intrinsic elements of motivation are autonomy,
mastery, and purpose. Autonomy means giving employees control over when, how, and what
they do and whom they do it with. This freedom to spend time doing their own thing leads to
many more innovative ideas and solutions. Mastery means the sense of progress in work and
ability. The tasks must not be too hard or too easy to foster improvement without causing
boredom or frustration. It allows employees to enjoy a sense of progress at work contributes to
their inner drive. Lastly is purpose. a key part of adding purpose to work is to ensure that the
mission and goals of the organisation are properly communicated to employees. Employees
need to know and understand these and appreciate how their work and role fits into what the
organization is about.
By using the leadership style and the motivational theory method, the workers might be
able to adapt to the new system but with a slower pace. This means, both ends can be met. The
company can still achieve their goals and the workers and work peacefully.
c) Kalau mereka bertentangan dengan pilihan saya, maka saya hanya bisa membuktikan mereka
dengan hasil dari plan ini. I am sure that these methods can work because they involve everyone
and it’s very democratic. This means, the chances of any further violent reactions are reduced.
My plan is to involve everyone and meet at the middle ground. The benefits of this method
outweigh the risks. The pacing will be slower because the employees could not keep up with the
new regimen. But it’s all about the end results and so we should not rush things.
