A. To do insulation coating on copper busbars as per requirement.

5. Process Activities

5.1 Activity Description

1. Clean the surface with PU Thinner and dry cloth to make it free from oil and
grease.

2. Put masking tape on the areas where coating is not required.

3. Scuff the surface with grade 150 emery paper and then clean the surface with
cotton cloth.
4. Prepare the Insulating Coating (ratio of Base and Hardener should be 4:1)
5. Fill up the spray gun with paint, tight the gun with air pipe and set the air
pressure of gun nozzle (Nozzle pressure 40-70 psi )
6. Apply first coat on copper busbar uniformly and wait for 6-8 hours to dry and
then apply next coat uniformly over the entire surface.

7. Repeat the same procedure for next coats to achieve desired insulation level.

7. Corrective & Preventive Action

Piece shell be Re-Coated if does not meet the specified quality parameters.

8. Verification

Shade as per specification, Thickness , High Voltage Test and Adhesion test.

9. Output

Coated Job. It is advised to use insulation coating busbar for Assembly after hard dry of 7
days.
