Andy and Michael Franko of Fluid-Quip Discuss Their Patent-Pending MSC™

System to Recover More Ethanol From Plants

San Diego, CA, November 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In an interview with Energy Digital, Andy and
Michael Franko of Fluid-Quip reminisce about the company's roots, reveal how they survived the
economic recession and divulge the secrets of their patent-pending maximized stillage co-products system
(MSC™ System).

“We see a major opportunity in developing new technologies for that industry to enhance by-product
separation,” says Michael Franko in the interview. “Instead of selling leftovers, they can use all the
benefits of the corn kernel that they're using to make ethanol.” Additionally, the company has an
opportunity to provide technical support to the dry mills just as they do the wet mills, creating another
layer service for their customers.

The MSC™ System is only the first stage in as series of innovative steps the company has created for
ethanol plants to recover additional by-products. According to Michael, there are additional steps to
further refine the protein by-product of ethanol production. “They don't have to interrupt the operation of
the present plant while they build this,” says Andy Franko in the interview. Read the full article.
