Accreditation and ◾ (a) auditing of the factory quality management system for compliance with ISO 9001
Certification requirements, and

Services ◾ (b) assessment of the product’s conformance with the standard specification.

Assessment of the product consist of initial type testing on samples collected during the initial audit
of the factory and followed by surveillance testing of the product in the market as well as from
factory. In order to be certified, the test results must meet the requirements of the product standard
specification.

Factory Assessment Under this scheme, a supplier may apply for certification of his product against recognized

against the relevant standard specification requirements by selecting random samples and sending

them to recognized laboratories for testing. Certification auditors will then carry out assessment of

Attestation HOW TO AVAIL OF THE CERTIFICATION SERVICE

Technical Approval Applicants for certification through factory assessment may submit their application using form DM-
Halal Certification DCLD-F-IC-2001. The general rules, procedures and requirements for this scheme are given in DM-
DCLD-RD-DP21-2001(IC). The specific requirements for each particular product are given in the
