QUOTES FROM PARTICIPANTS

Our students  from Peticeni Gymnasium decided

to help our nature. They made toys from recyclable
materials as plastic and paper. Now , these toys will
be given to children from our local kindergarten
and we are going to teach the little ones how we
can reuse plastic and paper creating beautiful
things. (Diana Apostol, Peticeni, Moldova)

My 4th grade students are focusing their service learning project on helping North Carolina’s wild
animals. Students are learning about the unique adaptations that help animals from our state
survive. The students will be supporting our local wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation center,
Possumwood Acres. They have planted a vegetable garden to grow fresh produce for the animals and
are collecting supplies to donate to the center. I’m taking the first batch of donations to the center
today!  ?Further, students from my class and  Nina Tîrsîna-Şoimu’s class will be exchanging
presentations our students make about the adaptations of our local animals. (Victoria Bell, North
Carolina, USA)
