Este mes continuaremos y

Durante el mes de octubre,
terminaremos aprendiendo sobre
los animales y sus diferentes
rasgos y variaciones. Después de
eso, aprenderemos sobre cómo
algunos animales son animales
solitarios y cómo algunos
animales viven en grupos.
desarrollaremos nuestro aprendizaje
sobre los animales leyendo varios
textos de ficción y no ficción y
utilizando esos textos para comparar
textos e identificar la idea principal
y la evidencia de apoyo
Este mes estamos trabajando en escribir para
reportar información. Los estudiantes
completarán sus proyectos de investigación en
sus animales seleccionados. Una vez que hayan
completado esto, trabajarán para crear un
póster, editar y publicar sus escritos, y
finalmente presentarán su información
aprendida fingiendo ser ese animal.

En octubre estaremos terminando nuestra unidad inicial de multiplicación y división.

Una vez hecho esto, comenzaremos una unidad en valor de posición, resolución de
problemas y unidades de medida. Exploraremos el valor de posición de los 1000,
crearemos y utilizaremos diferentes herramientas de medición y utilizaremos nuestra
comprensión de las unidades de medida para resolver problemas. Esto nos llevará a
aprender sobre el redondeo y evaluar si el mejor método posible es cómo resolver
un problema o no.

This month we will continue and

During the month of October, we
will wrap up learning about
animals and their different traits
and variations. After that we will
learn about how some animals are
solitary animals and how some
animals live in groups.
build upon our learning about
animals by reading various fiction
and non-fiction texts and using
those texts to compare texts and
identify main idea and supporting
evidence.
This month we are working on writing to
report information. Students will complete
their research projects on their selected
animals. After they have completed this,
they will work to create a poster, edit and
publish their writing, and finally present
their learned information by pretending to
be that animal.

In October we will be wrapping up our initial unit on multiplication and

division. Once done, we will begin a unit on place value, problem solving, and
units of measurement. We will explore place value to the 1000’s, create and
use different measurement tools, and use our understanding of units of
measurement in order to solve problems. This will lead us into learning about
rounding and assessing whether or not how we have solved a problem is the
best method possible.
