Film thickness tolerance : The thickness variation shall be within +/- 8 % of

along the circumference.

# NOTES :
1. Film output, gauge variation and film quality are dependent on polymer grades,layflat width,
thickness, nip height, die lip size, ambient conditions, other processing & operating parameters,
etc.
2. The outputs indicated are based on the criteria that ambient temperature is within 40 oC &
Relative Humidity 60%. Chilled air at 20oC at Air Ring exit.
3. Adequate quantity of polymer processing aids to be added for obtaining good film quality.
4. Output indicated are considering slip grade polymers.

frame of heavy steel sections.

 Made of alloy steel, ground, plated and polished to mirror surface finish for smooth and
uniform material flow.
 Die is designed for uniform melt distribution providing optimum velocity and pressure balance
to produce uniform thickness film within acceptable tolerance.

KOLSITE VERSION 1.0 AIR RING (6-14”), HEAT EXCHANGER AND BLOWER:

Cast hardened Aluminium construction with highly precision-machined parts, extremely


low-pressure drop design to get production efficiency and thickness regularity. 6 Nos. tangential
entry ports. Magnehelic differential pressure gauge and temperature gauge are provided to facilitate
bubble setting.
Self-centering air ring mounting enables air ring concentric with the die lip.
Adjustable chimney and bubble cone lip set as per die to cover wide range of BUR 1.7 - 3.5. These
cooling ring lipsets are the latest generation of duplex flow cooling for blown film with the facility to
fine-tune the airflow at the lip to match the particular characteristics of the polymer. This will
maximize the cooling rate and utilize maximum blower efficiency. To increase cooling efficiency and
production rate, insulated heat exchanger is provided. Cold water at recommended rates to be
provided by customer. Air distributor with 6 outlets of 4” dia and flexible hoses with Cloth insulation
to connect the air ring. Blower with 7.5 HP AC motor and DOL starter.

To increase cooling efficiency and production rate, air ring body is insulated.
Oscillating Haul Off (Vertical Type) :

Primary Nip Rollers : Chrome Plated Roller - 185 mm  x 1350mm L.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC SURFACE WINDER (KSW-1350)

Semi-automatic surface winder consisting of 2 main winding shafts (2 standbys) which are driven
by two drums with separate AC drives. Banana expander roller is provided to minimize
wrinkles/creases. A set of pressure-cum-pulling rollers, one of rubber and other steel are driven by
AC Motor with variable frequency drive to act as winder nip. Pneumatic arrangement provided for
winding pressure. End Slitting and trimming blades included to facilitate multi-slit winding. Winder
shafts changing are semi-automatic. Trim conveying with blower is included.
Air Expandable Shaft 4nos (3 inch core) included. Online Seal and Slitter Assembly Included.

INTEGRATEDCONTROL PANEL –

Fabricated from powder coated steel sheets and mounted on robust fabricated frames. They
include:

1. P.I.D temperature controllers (SSR-based) - 17 zones

2. Fe. Const. thermocouples - 17 nos.

3. Ammeters - 17 nos.

4. Main isolator switch with fuse unit - 1 no.

5. Voltmeter for main supply voltage - 1 no.

6. DOL starter for Air Ring Blower - 1 set

7. AC frequency drives for Extruders, Nip rolls, Winder drums & oscillation - 1 set

SYNCHRONISATION OF DRIVES:

Two Synchronization Masters are provided for ease of operation –

1. Plant Master : All Drives–Extruders + Vertical Take-up Nip,


Winder Nip and Winder drum.
2. Line Speed Master : Vertical Take-up Nip, Winder Nip and Winder drum.
