as close as possible to the place of origin. Small-scale channel networks and manageable waste
water treatment plants combine flexibility and efficiency. SANBOS Compact plants and their
associated networks are, due to the small area they cover, for the most part very flexible and cost-
effective to assemble. This allows the implementation of systems which are adapted to the local
situation and can easily react to changes. Due to the technically sophisticated and low-maintenance
SBR process, the SANBOS Compact always guarantees the best purification results, cost-effective
and flexible operation with high reliability. The plant can be expanded cost-effectively at any time.
Layout
Process
The SANBOS Compact plants operate with sequentially loaded batches. All of the purification
steps, including the post-purification, are carried out in one and the same bioreactor. The buffer
container serves to balance fluctuating intake volumes and to load the bioreactors evenly.
Features
Installation situation
The SANBOS Compact can be installed above or below ground and covered if necessary.
Inflow situation
Waste water is routinely fed to the waste water treatment plant via a penstock pipe. An inductive
flow meter registers the inflow volume. A sieving plant removes impurities and protects the
downstream units from damage. The compact sieving machine combines the process steps of
sieving, washing, water removal, compacting and transportation. The material that has been sieved
off can be automatically transported into a storage container on site and stored without much smell.
The weight reduction is up to 50% and the dewatering performance is up to 25% dry matter
substance. Where there are greater inflow rates, a sand catch with a sand trap can be installed as an
option.
Storage tank
The storage tank serves as buffer storage and balances fluctuating hydraulic loads. The waste water
is circulated continuously with a submersible stirrer. The SBR reactors are loaded by submersible
pumps. A manual hoist (crane) is supplied to raise and lower the equipment. Each unit has a holder
to insert the hoist. A measuring device monitors the fill level in the storage tank.
Reactor
All of the biochemical decomposition processes take place in the SBR reactor. The standard
combination aeration consists of a surface aerator with an integrated mixer.
Major process advantages of combination aeration are:
Alternatively the fine-bubble aeration system SANBOS FAS can be used. SANBOS uses only
power-saving and low-noise blowers to generate compressed air.
The decanter ensures the extensive, turbulence-free extraction of clean water. The decanter has the
following advantages:
Sludge treatment
The dimensions of the sludge store are in line with requirements. As part of the maintenance, it is
decided when the sludge will be removed. With a SANBOS sludge dewatering plant (optional), the
sludge is dewatered and compacted. The reduced sludge volume saves transport and landfill
capacity.
