SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE 10

OCTOBER 5 2019

I. TOPIC: REFLECTION ON A PLANE MIRROR

II. CONTENT STADARD:
The learners will be able to demonstrate understanding of the difference between
animal and plant cells
III. PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners will employ appropriate techniques using the compound microscope to
gather data about very small objects
IV. LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
1. predict the qualitative characteristics (orientation, type, and magnification) of
images formed by plane and curved mirrors and lenses
S10FE-IIg50
2. predict the qualitative characteristics (orientation, type, and magnification) of
images formed by plane and curved mirrors and lenses
S10FE-IIg50
3. apply ray diagramming techniques in describing the characteristics and
positions of images formed by lense
S10FE-IIg51
4. identify ways in which the properties of mirrors and lenses determine their
use in optical instruments (e.g., cameras and binocular
S10FE-IIh52
V. OBJECTIVES:
a. Desccribe the reflections on a plane mirror
b. Explain how image is formed
5. MATERIALS
Board, marker, LED TV/projector
VI. PREPARATION

REVIEW: Elicit their understanding by asking how electromagnetic spectrum functions.

MOTIVATION: Show a set of of puzzled words that corresponds to the ideas about the
reflection.
VII. LESSON PROPER
After the teacher raised their attention, there would be a hanging question that they will answer
at the end of the topic which asks how are images formed by the different types of mirrors and
lenses?
Afterwards,
Lastly the students will compare and contrast the difference between animal and plant cell
through a venn diagram.

VIII. APPLICATION
Relate the topic on the way of function of society or organiztions.
IX. EVALUATION
The students will answer the following questions:
1. On what presence of structure can readily distinguish a plant cell from a animal cell?
2. Which organelles play an important role in animal cell division?
3. Show the correct sequence of biological organization
