III. Procedure
A. Preparation

What are mass nouns? count nouns?
Identify if it is count noun or mass noun.

Let them use each count or mass noun in their own sentence.
B. Activity/ Motivation
Show pictures of fruits and vegetables
Ask: What are these? Do you eat these? Why? Why do we need to eat nutritious food?
Present the activity. The class will be grouped into 3. Each group will be given flashcards with
nouns. Let them identify the nouns that can be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt and nouns that
cannot be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt.
Let each group present their work.
C. Analysis
Ask: What are the nouns that can be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt?
How do we call the nouns that can be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt?
What are concrete nouns?
What are the nouns that cannot be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt?
How do we call the nouns that can be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt?
What do these nouns show?
What are abstract nouns?
Say: Will you give other examples of concrete nouns? abstract nouns?
Let them use the concrete and abstract nouns in their own sentence.
