PayTabs eStore is the easiest, readymade free solution that enables you, the merchant, to sell your
products online without the hassle of building your own ecommerce website or purchasing a domain
name and web hosting. You can now have your own store hosted on PayTabs eStore or you can select
the domain you want and buy it through your PayTabs merchant account in a single step and we will
directly add the store to your domain. Moreover you can publish your store directly on the Store’s
Facebook page where all store functionalities will be available through the store’s Facebook page like
browsing products, making orders and purchases, etc.
PayTabs does not offer an explicit Sandbox / Testing environment. But by using a demo account, you
can freely test all the functionalities like creating your eStore, adding products, viewing your store page
and placing orders, without any hassle.
In order to move to LIVE PRODUCTION environment, you will need to activate your LIVE MERCHANT
ACCOUNT by clicking on GO LIVE through your PayTabs Merchant Account. Once your Merchant
Account is activated, all the products that you created for your store will be sent for approval to our
operations team. Once approved, your eStore will be moved to the LIVE PRODUCTION environment,
where actual orders and payments can be made through your eStore.
This document is intended for merchants that don’t own a website and are interested to find out how
to create their own eStore and add products to it in just a few clicks away using PayTabs account.

1. It takes a few simple steps to create your own store. First, enter the following REQUIRED
details to create your own store:
Enter the name of your store. Since we want your store name to be
Store Name* unique, we will check the availability of this name against our existing store
names.
Provide phone number for all customers dealing with your Store, it will be
Phone* displayed under Contact Information section on your store’s About Us
page
Logo* This image will be displayed on your store’s page as your Store’s Logo
This image will be added to the header of the invoices created for any
Invoice Logo
order via your store.
After creating the store, the store owner has the option to buy his domain to host the store on
it instead of hosting it on market.paytabs.com , through Manage Store Page, In a few Steps:
1. Enter the required domain to check for availability
2. If the domain is available, you can proceed to buying the domain, enter card credentials and
click Pay.
3. Once, the payment is successful the store is immediately hosted on the new domain
To view your Store, you can click on the store URL and your store will open in a new tab. Your
store will be empty until you start adding categories and products.
The Integrate to Facebook option allows you to publish your store to your Facebook page,
where all store functionalities will be available through the store’s Facebook page like browsing
products, making orders and purchases, etc.
Edit Store Info enables you to edit the existing store details that you entered previously or add
more details like an About Us description in English & Arabic, your store’s Terms & Conditions
in English and Arabic.
For products shipping, you can set the shipping costs according to any shipping courier you
would like to use. Here are all the settings you can use to set the shipping costs for your store:
Ability to set the shipping cost for any of the available countries separately.
Set shipping cost either by products’ cost, products’ weight or number of items per order or
you can use a combination of all three together.
For each dependency, you can add multiple shipping costs.
You can set the shipping cost either as an absolute amount or a percentage of the order’s
amount.
By default when you first create a store, it will have an Active status. This means that your store
has been published on the internet and any products that you have added are displayed within
your store. This status is controlled by PayTabs eStore administration and they have the
authority to disable the store in case it didn’t follow the Terms and Conditions PayTabs eStore.
If the store is disabled the URL to the store and all products will be disabled and inaccessible by
customers.
The Tweet button enables you to tweet about your store URL via your twitter account.
To add the products that you want to sell on your store, first you need to select the Categories
for your products. You must select at least one category and click Save. Only the categories that
you select will be displayed on your store. At any point you can edit the categories you selected
by selecting more categories or unselecting some of the existing categories as long as they
don’t have products linked to them
If you want to use different categories or sub categories that do not exist in the list, you can add
a new category or sub category and use it.
Any new categories you add will be available for use by any existing store on PayTabs and you
can only edit them or delete them as long as there are no products from any store linked to
them.
To add more details to your products you can fill in the optional fields:
To add product options to your products, like size, color, and dimensions, you can select Add
New Option. Here you can add a list of options as radio buttons or Check boxes for your
customers to choose from. You can edit/delete these options from Add product page or Edit
Product.
For each product there are two statuses that determine the visibility of your products on store,
the first type is controlled by the merchant and the second type is controlled by PayTabs eStore
administration.
For your product to be visible on the store the status has to be ACTIVE-APPROVED.
Status Description
Product is searchable, visible, shows in category sections and it URL can be
Active
directly access
Product is only available via a link or direct access to the page. It is not
Hidden searchable or shown in any pages and therefore does not generate a 404 –
Page Not Found error.
Not accessible from anywhere other than products page on PayTabs
Disabled Merchant’s dashboard. If the page is accessed via a link, a 404 error is
generated.
- For Test /Demo Merchants: When your PayTabs account is in demo/Test stage, all products
are approved by default to enable you to test and experience all functionalities of the store
before you Go live.
- For Newly Approved Merchants: When your Go-Live request is approved, all the products
that you added during your Testing will be sent to the eStore Administrators for approval
and their status will be set to Pending Approval.
- For Live Merchants: By default, all new products that you add, or any edit to any of the
existing products, will set the product’s status to pending approval until they are reviewed
by PayTabs eStore administrators. This step is to ensure that all product listings follow
PayTabs policies and terms. Once approved, your products will be visible on the store.
You can edit any of the product details, product options or change product status. For live
merchants any edit for the product will set the product status to pending approval.
The Delete Product option deletes the product from your store. However, you will still find all
purchase history for this product, under orders.
All the products that you add to your store are displayed in Products Listing. You have two
viewing options:
- View Product: Enables you to view all the product details that you entered while adding
product.
- View in Store: Enables you to view how your product is displayed in your store.
All orders placed via your store are listed at orders page. Here you can view the complete order
details, like order Date, Products, Amount, Order status and Customer information by clicking
the view option.
You can also search for any order, by date, customer name, email or status
You can change the order status by clicking view order, change order status and click save. You
would need to manually raise a refund request on your PayTabs Merchant Dashboard for
cancelled or declined orders.
Merchant can also view in his dashboard all successful and rejected transactions coming from
the store. You can find all transactions under Reports -> Transaction.
To find specific transactions, you can search using Invoice Details search option and search
using order Id, customer email, specific dates or payment status.
Customers can track their orders, From My Contacts tab, either by entering order ID or email
used in order, they will receive an email with a link to view the order status
If the customer already created an account at the store, they can log in and view all orders they
made on orders page.
Team functionality is a feature that allows the merchant to create multiple users to access the
merchant account. Moreover, merchant can create roles containing a set of permissions to
determine exactly what each user is allowed to view and what actions can the user perform using
the account. For every existing feature in the merchant dashboard there is a permission that
controls the user access to that feature.
Accordingly. Merchant can create multiple users and give those permissions to handle the store
administration only, or adding/ editing products or processing orders or a group of permissions
from multiple areas.
The behavior of merchant team member depends totally on the granted role; this is why the
merchant must create roles first before adding new team members.
Merchant can create any number of roles and grant them to his team members at Team >
Roles, each role consists of English name, Arabic name and a list of permissions, the name of
the role must be unique on the merchant level.
Role name and permissions can be edited at any point of time, role also can be deleted if it is
not assigned to any user.
Permissions are categorized into categories according to their functionality, a list of the current
permissions under store category is displayed in the below table:
Change E-Store Order Status Allows the user to change the status of his E-Store orders
Create E-Store Categories Allows the user to create new categories to use them in his E-Store
Delete E-Store Categories Allows the user to delete his E-Store product categories
Delete E-Store Products Allows the user to delete his E-Store products
Edit E-Store Categories Allows the user to edit the titles of his E-Store product categories
Edit E-Store Info Allows the user to edit the information of the E-Store
Edit E-Store Products Allows the user to edit his E-Store products
Edit E-Store Shipping Info Allows the user to edit the shipping information of the E-Store
Set E-Store Categories Allows the user to set the E-Store product categories
View E-Store Orders Allows the user to edit his E-Store products
View E-Store Products Allows the user to view the details of his E-Store products
Merchant can add up to 10 users under his account, the merchant will enter the name, email and
password for the new user, he also must assign him role(s) and can add him in groups (if needed) and
select other users that will be supervised by that user (if needed), the following points are valid for
each user.
The user will receive an email to the email account used in creating his account in PayTabs, the
email contains the login url and the password set for him.
The user will be automatically forced to change his password after he logs in for the first time.
