Actual Solution
Instructions: Have students identify the problem in the story and write or draw it at the top of the page.
Then, have students draw or write two of the solutions the boy tries below. Last, have students write or draw
the actual solution.
Instructions: Name each picture with students. If the word begins with the /pl/ sound, have them cut out the
picture and glue it in a box in the top row. Then, have students write pl on the line below the picture. In the bottom
row, have students draw and label their own pl words.

Instructions: Have students read the sentences. Have them circle each subject and underline each predicate.
Then, have students draw an X on any sentence that is incomplete. Have students write their own complete
sentence on the lines provided.
