1.1 Introduction
E-learning is one of the most powerful tools available to the growing need of
education. E-learning system like those offered at future school offer advantages over
traditional schooling method in many circumstances. These benefits given students,
parents, and teachers an edge in a world that often is too fast raced or not sensitive to
individual student’s need. The main purpose of those systems is to provide a better and
effective way to help students to get learning materials and information.
According to Abbad, et. al (2009) E-learning refers to the use of information and
communication technologies to enable the access to online learning /teaching resources.
5555itIn its broadest sense defined ELearning to mean any learning that is enabled
electronically. They however narrowed this definition down to mean learning that is
empowered by the use of digital technologies. This definition is further narrowed by
some researchers as any learning that is internet-enabled or web-based (LaRose et al,
1998; Keller and Cernerud, 2002).
According to Richard and Haya 2009 the Internet has become one of the vital
ways to make available resources for research and learning for both teachers and
students to share and acquire information. Technology-based e-learning encompasses
the use of the internet and other important technologies to produce materials for
learning, teach learners, and also regulate courses in an organization (Fry, 2001). There
has been extensive debate about a common definition of the term e-learning.
Due to the rapid growth of internet technology, Universities around the world are
investing heavily in e-learning systems to support their traditional teaching and to
improve their student’s learning experience and performance. However, the success of
an e-learning system depends on the understanding of certain antecedent factors that
influence the student’s acceptance and usage of such e-learning systems. This study
aims to provide a discussion of the current e-leaning environments including their
(characteristics) advantages and major factors that affect the acceptance of such
technologies. It is concluded that a successful e-learning system should consider the
personal, social, cultural, technological, organizational, and environmental factors.
This study briefly describes the coverage idea of the advantages of using those
system (e-learning) for DCSA Valenzuela that provides personal computer and mobile
peripherals by using major equipment of the school to help students and instructors for
advanced learning through the electronics. It helps us to produce the learning method of
the new innovative classroom, this is the evidence why e learning created for example;
new ways how we teach and learn, proper tools and materials
According to Tao et al (2006), this new environment for learning that is centered
on electronic networks has allowed learners in universities to receive individualized
support and also to have learning schedules that is more suitable to them as well as
separate from other learners. This facilitates a high interaction and collaboration level
between instructors or teachers and peers than traditional environment for learning. E-
learning in academics which is characterized by the use of multimedia constructs made
the process of learning more active, interesting and enjoyable. The main constructs that
have made e-learning the most promising educational technology according to Hammer
and Champy (2001) and Liaw et al (2007) include service, cost, quality, and speed. It is
apparent that e-learning can empower students at higher educational levels to acquire
their education in while at the same time per using their personal objectives as well as
maintaining their own careers, with no need to attend be subjected to rigid schedule
(Borstorff and Lowe. 2007).According to Kartha (2006) in support of this thought
reported that the number of courses online has vividly increased as a result of the
attained benefits for both learners and universities.
This study seeks to answer how the advantage of e-learning system affects the
students of Datamex College of Saint Adeline Valenzuela Branch.

The study will not cover other factors such as implementation of e-learning
system, providing learning materials used on that system and
Computer literacy - is the ability to use computers and related technology efficiently,
with a range of skills covering levels from elementary use to programming and advanced
problem solving.
E-library - It's an electronic or online library where one can have access to books,
journals, novels, articles or any other information over net.
Traditional Method of Teaching- This refers to the teaching method that employed
board, and eraser in teaching -English subject.
