PROVISION OF MATERIALS AND OTHER RESOURCES

Faculty are encouraged to make an application-based learning experience for the
students. As they've said, experience is the best teacher that any student can have.
There were still be theory sharing and discussion but in any subject there must be an
application activity for the student to experience actual scenarios where they can
actually gather different information based on what they have personally experienced
and it is believed that actual experiences last longer. Moreover, since the professors
had already gathered different experiences inside and outside Bicol University,
experience sharing is also essential in the learning process of the students.

Classrooms that are conducive for learning were provided by the college as well
as the facilities in the E-Hall for the application activities of the students. The E-Hall has

_______________
BEST PRACTICES

As we believed that experience is the best teacher any student can have, we
then believe that the practicum of our students is the best practice of inhibiting them the
sense of management.

After providing them all the theories essential in managing, giving them sample
actual experiences and letting them experience some of the scenarios through the
application activities, the practicum is one of the best way to evaluate the learning that
the student gained.

The practicum is where a student is sent to an organization, agency or business

establishment where management is an essential part, they will be part of this institution
for number of weeks where they can exhibit their knowledge, skills and capabilities in
doing any assigned task to them. Students were also exposed to actual office setups
during their practicum where they can experience different natures of co-employees,
different characteristic of offices and different managing strategies of managers and
supervisors.

Moreover, students will not just learn the technicalities of how management is
done but they will also know the importance of having a positive personality in any job.
Management is a job where they will usually deal with people with different ideas,
beliefs and behaviors and with this, the development of their interpersonal skill becomes
important.

Offices are usually run by papers, with this, the importance of records
management arises. For the accessibility of documents when the need of it comes,
documents that are properly labeled and safekept will be essential. Also, with the files
that are treated with outmost confidentiality, it needs to be secured at all times.

At the end of their practicum, their immediate supervisor will be filling out their
evaluation sheet for the university to identify whether the student exhibits what needs to
the exhibited.

Furthermore, the professors-in-charged in the practicum of the management

students were conducting a regular visitation to secure that the students were tasked to
do activities that are related to their degree. Also, with this, the college is establishing a
relationship with the institutions were they can again, send more students.
